Nanjing Suning ZhongShan Golf Resort

Staying at Nanjing Suning Zhongshan Golf Resort was one of those rare experiences that truly exceeded expectations from the very first moment. The journey began as soon as our car pulled up to the front entrance—staff immediately opened the door, took our luggage, and guided us smoothly through check-in. Stepping into the grand lobby felt like entering a luxury sanctuary: soaring ceilings, a stunning crystal chandelier, and a subtle, refreshing palmarosa fragrance in the air. Every detail screamed quality and intention. We checked into a standard room, but even the room tour felt like an experience—each cabinet and drawer revealed thoughtful touches: a golf cart model, a vintage hourglass, curated books. These aren’t just decorative items; they reflect the hotel’s unique personality and attention to storytelling. The amenities were top-tier—thick, plush slippers, a 17g mid-size Colgate toothpaste, and a wooden comb. Simple things, but so well executed, it made a real emotional impact. Breakfast was an absolute highlight. So much variety, so much flavor—my stomach really couldn’t handle it all! The live stations were impressive, especially the handmade wontons by Auntie Sun. Her warmth was infectious, and the wontons? Thin wrappers, generously stuffed with hand-ground meat that was springy and juicy—clearly made fresh, not mass-produced. The seafood congee was rich and aromatic, and fresh-squeezed juice added a perfect finishing touch. Staff were attentive without being intrusive—if something needed time, they’d ask where we were seated and bring it straight to us. The pool was massive, deep enough (around 1.4m), and kept at a perfect 30°C—ideal for winter swimming. At night, it felt almost private, like we had the whole space to ourselves. The dry sauna was spacious, well-ventilated, and completely quiet—no distractions. Even the shower and vanity areas used the same high-end products and appliances as the bedroom—zero compromises. Bonus: the complimentary 30-minute golf session at the practice range. As a complete beginner, I surprised myself with how well I did—fun, engaging, and genuinely memorable. I’d been slightly nervous after reading some negative comments about cold staff, but every interaction was warm, professional, and efficient. Housekeeping responded within minutes of a call—truly next-level responsiveness. Despite being in a quieter season (and even on a weekend), the hotel maintained its premium standards. Rumor has it the previous guest amenities were by Acqua di Parma, so there might’ve been some cost adjustments—but the soul of the place remains intact. This isn’t a hotel chasing trends or partnering with random photo shoots. It’s a genuine, well-crafted property built on substance, consistency, and care. If you’re looking for a stay that feels special—not just convenient—this is it. I already know I’ll be back.

The Grand Mansion Hotel, Nanjing

I stayed at The Grand Mansion Hotel during the Christmas Eve of 2019 and decided to return for my latest trip to Nanjing—no regrets at all. This time, I upgraded to a garden-view suite, which was absolutely serene and beautifully appointed. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with fresh welcome fruits and the signature afternoon tea, both of which were delightful. Even better, the hotel included complimentary tickets to the nearby Six Dynasties Museum—a thoughtful touch that made exploring the city even more enjoyable. The location is excellent—central, walkable to major attractions, and just a short metro ride from everything. My stay was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. A special thank you to Cloris Li at check-out: her warm, friendly service stood out, and she even gifted us a cute Nanjing-themed maple leaf souvenir. It’s such a sweet little memory from our trip. Truly a top-tier experience—I’d recommend this hotel without hesitation.

in N&S MEN DONG Hotel

Staying at in N&S MEN DONG Hotel was such a delightful experience from the moment I walked in. The aesthetic is absolutely charming—minimalist yet warm, with a cozy atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. I was greeted by two adorable blue cats, Xiao Nan and Xiao Bei—Xiao Nan’s a bit leaner, while Xiao Bei has a rounder, cuddly frame. They added such a personal touch to the stay! The service was incredibly thoughtful; ordering takeout was seamless, and it was delivered straight to my room without any hassle. Even though the hotel sits just one wall away from the lively vibe of Old Gate East, it remained surprisingly quiet at night and peaceful during the day—no noise pollution whatsoever. The scent upon entering was subtle but inviting, like fresh linen and woodsy notes blending together. One small but brilliant detail: even when I left the room without my key card, the central air conditioning kept running, maintaining a perfectly consistent temperature throughout. That kind of attention to comfort really shows how much care goes into every little detail. This place isn’t just a hotel—it feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm, stylish retreat in the heart of Nanjing.

Staying at Manxin Mansion Nanjing Confucius Temple Laomendong was such a delightful experience—seriously, it’s the perfect balance of city buzz and peaceful retreat. Located just steps from Yuhua Men Metro Station, everything I wanted to see was within a 10-15 minute walk: Laomendong Ancient Street, Da Baoren Temple, and the Luozhou Park Lantern Festival were all super accessible. I booked the Courtyard King Room, and wow—the view from the window felt like having my own private garden. The room itself was beautifully designed with smart tech and high-end finishes, plus a complimentary mini-bar. The front desk even has a resident cat—adorable and so welcoming! The garden area is serene and perfect for sipping tea or just relaxing while watching the river and ancient city walls. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive—service that truly feels personal, almost like a five-star hotel. Free Song-style afternoon tea? Yes, please! And the late-night snack pack was a nice surprise—just a simple bowl of congee with pickled vegetables, comforting and satisfying. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding—full of authentic Nanjing flavors. The small duck oil sesame sugar bao was deliciously fragrant, the salted duck was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the fresh egg pancake was healthy and scrumptious. Don’t miss the freshly ground black sesame paste—it’s rich, aromatic, and pure comfort. Every detail here screams quality and thoughtfulness. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s an experience. There’s no sense of mismatch; it just feels right from the moment you arrive. The front desk staff were warm and attentive during check-in, making the whole process smooth and welcoming. As soon as I stepped into the room, I was greeted with a cozy atmosphere—fresh fruit on the table, chilled drinks in the fridge, and to my delight, the mini-bar even includes a coffee machine! Ordering food delivery was effortless too; just call the front desk and they’ll bring it straight to your door. Best part? The room matches the photos exactly—simple yet refined decor, all amenities fully functional, and spotless cleanliness throughout. Every little detail shows how much care goes into this place. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient for exploring the Confucius Temple area and getting around by metro. This is one of those rare stays where everything exceeds expectations—highly recommend!

Yebo Qinhuai SSAW Hotel (Qinhuai Bookstore)

The location couldn't be better—just a short stroll to the Confucius Temple area, where I could easily explore the night market, enjoy local street food, and soak in the scenic beauty of the Qinhuai River. What truly stood out was the balcony in my room, offering a perfect view of the river at night. Sipping tea while watching the lights dance on the water, with dinner nearby, felt like pure relaxation without even stepping outside. The hotel’s atmosphere is serene and elegant, almost like staying in a quiet literary retreat. Staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. On one occasion, I had urgent work documents to print, so I asked if there was an extra fee for the service. Instead of charging, the front desk team offered it free of charge, even took the time to professionally bind them. That kind of thoughtful touch really reflects their high standard of hospitality. The dining staff were just as warm and considerate. Every interaction left me feeling valued. I’ll definitely return next time I visit Nanjing—and I’d happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

Nanjing Xinjiekou Netease Cloud Music Atour X Hotel

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—right next to the subway station, making it super convenient for exploring Nanjing’s city center, especially Xinjiekou. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, always smiling and eager to help. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable—great for a good night’s sleep. I loved that there was a laundry facility on-site; it made packing and travel so much easier. But the real highlight? The little cat they keep at the front desk! Watching it play and cuddling with guests brought such a warm, homey vibe. It’s not just a place to stay—it feels like coming home. I’d definitely book again next time I visit Nanjing. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

Floral Hotel·the old gate East of Nanjing Confucius Temple hotel

Staying at Flora Hotel in the Old Gate East of Nanjing Confucius Temple was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a short turn off the main street and you're right in the heart of the old alleyways, where you can easily find amazing local eats like the famous crispy pork ribs. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming; they escorted us straight to our room after check-in, helped carry our bags, and even turned on the air conditioning before we even stepped inside. There’s a cute, chubby Corgi who lives here—so affectionate and playful, it’s hard not to fall in love with him. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared too—each guest received a generous portion of congee, eggs, and a variety of traditional snacks. If you’re still hungry, more is always available. Everything about this stay felt personal, cozy, and authentic. It’s clear that attention to detail and genuine hospitality are at the core of this charming little gem. I’ll definitely be back.

Crystal Orange Nanjing Presidential Palace Zhongshan East Road Hotel

I absolutely love this Crystal Orange hotel! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Presidential Palace and super convenient for exploring downtown Nanjing. What truly stood out was the laundry service—clean, well-maintained machines and staff who went above and beyond to help. Even more impressive: I accidentally left my Apple Pencil behind, and the team actually found it and returned it to me! I was genuinely touched—this kind of care is rare. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay special. It’s not just a hotel—it feels like staying at a second home. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Nanjing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a memorable experience.
