That kind of personal touch is rare. Breakfast was an absolute highlight—huge variety, beautifully presented. From freshly steamed dim sum and handmade noodles to a wide selection of breads, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and even ice cream, every detail was thoughtfully curated. But what truly stole the show was the garden. Lush green lawns, mature trees casting dappled sunlight, historic buildings nestled among foliage—perfect for quiet strolls or Instagram-worthy shots. Along the way, you’ll pass charming old shikumen homes, cozy cafes, boutique shops, and historic landmarks, making every stroll feel like a little adventure through Shanghai’s soul. The hotel’s lush garden on the south side is a peaceful retreat—perfect for unwinding in the middle of the bustling city. While some facilities show their age, everything is well-maintained and blends beautifully with Shanghai’s classic charm.
