The hotel is incredibly easy to find—right next to the main road and just a short walk from the railway station. Parking is available at the lot directly across from the building, and the hotel covers the parking fee, which is a nice touch. The doorman on the ground floor was exceptionally friendly—he opened doors, helped with luggage, and even pressed the elevator button for me. The front desk is on the second floor, where staff were warm and welcoming. They offered hot towels, afternoon tea snacks, and freshly brewed coffee—such a thoughtful gesture. They also took time to explain all the room amenities in detail, showing genuine care. Everything about this stay felt personalized and well-organized. The afternoon tea here is definitely a highlight—my favorite part was the creamy, rich milk tea that tasted surprisingly delicious. The Western-style pastries, yogurt, and desserts were also well-executed and stood out. The room itself is on the smaller side but impeccably clean, with a charming Russian architectural style that really adds character to the stay. One quirky detail: the bathroom faucet is extremely tall—despite being 5'6" (around 168 cm), I still had to stretch just to reach the clothesline! That’s some authentic Russian design for you. Inside, the heating system works so well that you forget it’s freezing outside—perfect for winter visits. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just steps from Metro Line 2, making trips to the Ice and Snow World only 3 stops away, while Central Street and Red Star Market are within walking distance. There’s no shortage of local eats nearby—great barbecue spots and traditional “pig slaughter” dishes for hungry travelers. Bonus: the key card can be duplicated, which is super convenient for late-night returns. We happened to be here during Christmas, and the decorations created such a magical atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Breakfast included turkey, and the kids were thrilled with their little snowman gifts. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony—such a thoughtful touch! The kids could play in the snow outside, then quickly warm up inside when needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and even helped capture some amazing family photos that truly felt like a fairytale. It was such a special experience, especially for the children. After learning we’d braved the cold the day before, he personally handed us cozy hand warmers and heated insoles. We wore them that night and were amazed by how much warmer and more comfortable we felt. Breakfast was an absolute surprise—the dining supervisor, Auntie Huang, even brought a 3D-printed yogurt for our little one with a smile, saying, 'A great day starts with a delicious breakfast.' That moment stole our child’s heart: he refused to leave the hotel the next morning, even when the famous Hongzhuan Morning Market called his name. He kept asking, 'Can we go back to eat Auntie Huang’s special yogurt?' Such thoughtful touches make this stay unforgettable. Truly, the warmth here goes beyond just the heat—it's real human kindness.

They didn’t just handle check-in efficiently — they went above and beyond by sharing local gems like authentic Northeastern cuisine, tips on visiting the Siberian tiger exhibit, and even recommended scenic running routes along the Songhua River. Their knowledge and personal touch instantly made us feel connected to the city, not just as guests but as visitors welcomed with heart. The dining team also stood out, especially Ms. Wang Jinxia. During busy mealtimes, she remained calm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her thoughtful recommendations brought each meal to life, turning every bite into a delightful experience. Staying in the Executive Lounge was a real highlight — sipping tea while gazing out at the dazzling night lights of the North Bank Ice and Snow World and the serene riverside scenery, all within walking distance of key attractions. Truth be told, we picked this hotel because of a friend’s strong recommendation — and now we understand why. Absolutely a 10/10 experience! This is hands down the best hotel for families visiting Harbin—Puyan Hotel truly lives up to its reputation. We stayed here for four nights, and every moment felt seamless and enjoyable. The location is unbeatable: just across the street from the Songhua River, so we could easily take our kids for a stroll along the waterfront at sunset or sunrise. When they got tired, we were back in the room within minutes—no need to rush or deal with long commutes. Plus, it's incredibly close to Central Street; walking there takes less than five minutes, perfect for exploring local night markets and trying authentic Harbin snacks. There’s an amazing variety of dining options nearby, making mealtime stress-free even with little ones. The rooms are spacious and bright, giving kids plenty of room to run around safely. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with luggage or recommendations. Breakfast was excellent too, featuring traditional Chinese pastries and fresh fruit. After four nights, I can confidently say this hotel delivers exceptional value in every aspect: convenience, comfort, and care. One small note: I accidentally left a pair of snow boots in the room, and unfortunately, no reminder was sent upon check-out. It would be great if the hotel could implement a more proactive lost items notification system. That said, this minor oversight didn’t take away from the excellent stay. He recommended Sakura Terrace, a Japanese restaurant that perfectly matched my partner’s taste.
