Everything you need to know about Young·SPACE Hot Spring Hall

Near Yang Space Spa Life in Shanghai, Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai is a top recommendation, just 1.5 km away with excellent accessibility. The hotel offers luxurious rooms, an indoor pool, and a world-class spa, perfectly complementing the tranquil experience of Yang Space. Another ideal option is Mandarin Oriental, Shanghai, located along the Bund with stunning Huangpu River views. It’s a short walk to Yang Space and ideal for travelers seeking modern elegance and relaxation.

The Yang Space Spa Life itself blends contemporary design with traditional Japanese onsen culture, featuring indoor and outdoor hot spring pools, herbal steam rooms, and various wellness workshops. Visitors are encouraged to plan a full-day retreat to fully enjoy the immersive atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from urban stress and a rejuvenating highlight of any Shanghai trip.

From Pudong International Airport, take Metro Line 2 to Renmin Square Station, transfer to Line 10 to Nanjing West Road Station, then walk about 8 minutes to Yang Space Spa Life—a convenient journey taking roughly 45 minutes. For a more comfortable and time-efficient option, pre-book a private car or use Didi Chuxing; the ride takes around 30 minutes and costs approximately ¥150, offering scenic views of Shanghai’s urban landscape, ideal for travelers with luggage.

Alternatively, the Airport Express bus connects to central Shanghai but requires a transfer, making it less efficient. Regardless of your choice, planning ahead is recommended, especially on weekends or holidays to avoid delays. Upon arrival, Yang Space provides complimentary parking and a warm welcome, enhancing the sense of luxury from the moment you step in. Its interior design blends natural elements with Zen-inspired aesthetics, enhanced by ambient lighting and soundproofing, creating an ideal environment for ultimate relaxation—perfect for weekend getaways or short escapes.

Yang Space Spa Life stands out with several distinctive experiences: immersive herbal baths using seasonally sourced Chinese medicinal herbs in the hot springs to boost circulation and detoxification; guided mindfulness workshops led by certified instructors, teaching breathwork and meditation techniques in a serene setting; and nighttime stargazing soaks, where guests enjoy open-air hot springs beneath a canopy, gazing at the urban sky under soft lighting.

Additional offerings include customized essential oil massages and herbal tonic teas, blending traditional Chinese wellness wisdom with modern care. The venue embraces a "boundaryless" design philosophy—featuring floor-to-ceiling glass, natural lighting, and ambient music and aromatherapy systems that enhance relaxation. Weekend themed events like "Moonlight Soak" and "Seasonal Wellness Classes" add depth and variety to the experience.

Whether for personal rejuvenation or group gatherings, Yang Space offers a rare urban sanctuary for holistic well-being, making it a must-visit destination for wellness travelers.

Yang Space Spa Life is highly suitable for families and group visits. The venue features multiple private onsen cabins accommodating 2 to 6 people, ensuring comfort and privacy. A dedicated children’s onsen area offers child-friendly water temperatures and non-slip flooring, allowing parents to relax while keeping kids safe and entertained.

Group bookings come with special discounted packages including shared soaking, massage services, and light refreshments, enhancing the overall experience. The space also supports custom event planning, such as birthday celebrations, team-building activities, or themed gatherings. On-site amenities include lounge areas, tea ceremony zones, and communal seating for socializing.

With proximity to Xintiandi and Nanjing West Road shopping district, visitors can easily continue their outing with dining and shopping after the spa session. Whether for family bonding, friend get-togethers, or corporate retreats, Yang Space offers a balanced blend of relaxation and connection—making it a perfect destination for group wellness escapes.

Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund

Staying at the Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund was an unforgettable experience. Though it’s a historic property, the cleanliness and maintenance are impeccable—no musty odors or signs of aging anywhere, from the grand lobby to the room itself. The elegant old-world charm is perfectly preserved, creating a warm yet luxurious atmosphere. My room’s bathroom had clearly been recently renovated, featuring a smart toilet with bidet functions and a showerhead with strong water pressure—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The service exceeded expectations from the very beginning: as I arrived at Dianchi Road, a staff member was already waiting by the door. After confirming I was a guest, he immediately took my luggage and carried it inside, guiding me through check-in with a friendly smile. Despite arriving during peak check-in time around 3 PM, there was no chaos or long lines—everything was smooth and efficient. Even more impressive? My bags never touched my hands again—they were taken straight up in the elevator to my room. That’s what true luxury service looks like. Special shoutout to Guest Experience Manager Billy Liang, who went above and beyond when he learned about my parents’ anniversary visit. He personally delivered a birthday cake, arranged a reservation at the rooftop Longfeng Hall, and even made sure they enjoyed live classic jazz music at the hotel bar. He even snapped a sweet photo for them to cherish. My parents were truly touched and said it was one of the most memorable trips of their lives. This hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a destination worth visiting for family gatherings, special occasions, or simply experiencing timeless elegance. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of heritage, comfort, and exceptional hospitality, this is it.

JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui

I chose Joya Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui for my New Year’s celebration this year, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise—my first stay here, and I’m already planning to come back. Traveling with my 15-month-old baby, I was so impressed by how thoughtful the staff were: they set up the baby safety barrier in advance upon our request, and it was already in place when we arrived—truly appreciated. The island counter design is absolutely perfect for parents—it made feeding, preparing bottles, and cutting fruit so much easier. Plus, you can keep an eye on your little one while brushing your teeth or getting ready, which brings great peace of mind. The river view room was the highlight—overlooking the Huangpu River, my baby would sit by the window every morning sipping milk, mesmerized by the scenery. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, though the toilet seat is slightly higher than average—probably due to a heated cover installed later, but not a big issue. Staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety, no repeats over three days! The beef noodle soup stood out: rich broth, tender meat, and generous portions—highly recommend. If you’re traveling with kids, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and quality. Definitely coming back for another family stay.
