Blossom Hill Inn Suzhou
Staying at Blossom Hill Inn Suzhou was a memorable experience, especially given its prime location right on Pingjiang Road—super convenient to explore the old town by foot. The property itself is beautifully restored from a traditional courtyard house, and every corner exudes that authentic Jiangnan garden charm with stunning views that change with each step. Our host, Xiao Ming, gave us an insightful and passionate overview of the estate’s history, which really deepened our appreciation for the place. That said, there were two things we’d like to mention. First, since it’s an older building, the rooms get quite cold at night despite having both heaters and air conditioning—we actually woke up around 6 AM because of the chill. Second, breakfast isn’t included, and we paid 49 yuan for two breakfast sets. Our host walked us to a nearby restaurant, Xinzhenyuan, where we ordered a mix of rice noodles, shrimp dumplings, and steamed buns—half with shrimp, half with pork. Unfortunately, after eating, we both suffered from stomach issues and ended up feeling unwell. We strongly advise against ordering breakfast here—food quality and hygiene seem questionable. It would be great if the hotel could investigate this issue with their partner vendors. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and location are exceptional, but improving room temperature control and food safety would make this stay even better.

The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Pingjiang Road, where dining and shopping are within walking distance. I didn’t need to take a taxi for anything; even the subway was easy to reach. The room was spotless and bright, with a comfortable mattress and soft bedding that made me sleep through the night—something rare for me since I usually wake up easily. The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful, answering every question with genuine care. She shared some local gems—hidden food spots only locals know about—and trust me, those little restaurants were amazing: authentic flavors, generous portions, and super affordable. Everything in the room was thoughtfully provided, including disposable toilet seat covers. Hot water flowed strong and steady, and the Wi-Fi was lightning fast. For this price, the quality and comfort are absolutely outstanding. I’m already planning my next trip just to stay here again. Highly recommend it—especially if you’re hoping to book a visit to Suzhou Museum!

The atmosphere is beautifully traditional yet cozy, with spotless rooms and a clean, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful—always smiling, ready to assist with anything. The owner is genuinely warm and adds a personal touch that makes the stay feel like home. I even lived here for half a month last year and came back this time without hesitation! Love the retro charm in the photos (especially pics 6–8)—they capture that classic '90s foreigner’s view of China, full of nostalgic vibes. Perfect for travelers who want an authentic local experience. Great location, super affordable, and just a short metro ride from everything. Highly recommend for anyone looking to connect with real Suzhou culture.

We stayed at Hovle Mansion Club & Hotel in Suzhou during the New Year’s holiday with our family, and it was an absolutely perfect choice. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the metro station, and you’re literally one minute away from the historic Pingjiang Road, where the charm of old Suzhou comes alive. The hotel itself has such a refined atmosphere—so elegant and full of character, making it easy to capture beautiful photos right on the premises. Every staff member we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They even surprised us with breakfast vouchers for our child—a thoughtful touch that made the stay extra special. At check-out, the front desk agent, Ms. Wang, went above and beyond by asking if we were satisfied and handed us a small gift as a farewell token. It felt so personal and heartfelt. This trip wasn’t just about sightseeing—it felt like coming home. We left feeling truly cared for, and we’ll definitely return next time we visit Suzhou. In fact, the Intime Mall is only a 10-minute stroll away, so dining and shopping are hassle-free. The facilities are modern and comprehensive—USB charging ports in the room, smart devices, a well-equipped laundry area, and a fully functional fitness center. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here. Cleanliness is outstanding: no dust in the corners, crisp and fresh bedding with zero odors, and a perfectly separated bathroom that makes everything feel safe and hygienic. The service stands out too—the front desk staff checked us in quickly and efficiently, and Guo Jing was especially warm and attentive. On a chilly day, she even offered a hand warmer and hot water—such thoughtful touches really stood out. This place delivers incredible value, and I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Suzhou.
