The hotel overlooks the lake, and Moonlight Pier is just across the bridge—super convenient for walking or taking the metro. This time, we brought my elderly parent who had just recovered from a fracture; mobility was limited, and even eating and moving around were challenging. From check-in onward, the staff went above and beyond. When we requested two rooms, they kindly arranged adjacent ones for easier supervision. Throughout breakfast and dinner buffet service, the team showed exceptional care. During dinner, a young, friendly server noticed our situation and proactively brought a cushion so my parent could elevate their injured arm—something that actually helped with swelling. He even explained the medical reasoning behind it! That level of thoughtfulness and knowledge stood out. Every interaction felt personal, warm, and professional. We’ve already taken photos of several team members’ name tags—we’d love to see them recognized by the hotel. Definitely coming back again!

Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to great dining options, yet far enough from traffic congestion to keep things peaceful. Inside the room, all amenities were top-notch—fridge, washing machine, microwave—all clean and well-maintained (even though I didn’t use them, I did check them out, and they looked brand new). Everything felt fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back if I visit Suzhou again.

Staying at Blossom Hill Inn Suzhou was a memorable experience, especially given its prime location right on Pingjiang Road—super convenient to explore the old town by foot. The property itself is beautifully restored from a traditional courtyard house, and every corner exudes that authentic Jiangnan garden charm with stunning views that change with each step. Our host, Xiao Ming, gave us an insightful and passionate overview of the estate’s history, which really deepened our appreciation for the place. That said, there were two things we’d like to mention. First, since it’s an older building, the rooms get quite cold at night despite having both heaters and air conditioning—we actually woke up around 6 AM because of the chill. Second, breakfast isn’t included, and we paid 49 yuan for two breakfast sets. Our host walked us to a nearby restaurant, Xinzhenyuan, where we ordered a mix of rice noodles, shrimp dumplings, and steamed buns—half with shrimp, half with pork. Unfortunately, after eating, we both suffered from stomach issues and ended up feeling unwell. We strongly advise against ordering breakfast here—food quality and hygiene seem questionable. It would be great if the hotel could investigate this issue with their partner vendors. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and location are exceptional, but improving room temperature control and food safety would make this stay even better.

The bedding felt luxurious—soft fabric, comfortable pillows with different heights for optimal support, and I slept like a baby. The Toshiba central air conditioning worked flawlessly, keeping the room cool without any noise. Overall, this stay added a wonderful chapter to our trip to Suzhou. A highly recommended, memorable experience that truly exceeded expectations.

Arrived at Higher Hotel in the evening and was immediately impressed by the spacious underground parking — just turn right to access the elevator that goes straight to the lobby, directly facing the main entrance. The check-in process was smooth, and since our original room was unavailable, the front desk kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room at no extra cost — a lovely surprise! The room itself was large, spotlessly clean, and the heating system worked perfectly, making it cozy during the cooler evenings. Best of all, the view from the window overlooks Jinji Lake, with stunning night views of Taohua Island and the Oriental Gate — absolutely picturesque. I also heard the hotel is planning renovations soon, including installing underfloor heating in ground-floor rooms, which will be a great upgrade for future stays. Located right on Moonlight Pier, a charming European-style village with quiet streets lined with restaurants and bars, it’s ideal for a relaxed evening stroll along the lakeside, perfect for photography and unwinding. Just a 10-minute walk away are major shopping spots like Times Square and Eslite Life, where we enjoyed browsing and grabbing dinner. Everything was convenient, well-connected, and the overall experience was exceptional. This was truly one of the best stays I’ve had in Suzhou — I’ll definitely be back and recommend this hotel to friends.
