Burlington Hostel
The property is a bit older than the photos suggest, and the rooms are fairly basic, but it's well-located for exploring downtown LA. The nearby metro station makes getting around super convenient, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. It's not fancy, but if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with good access to attractions and transit, this place offers solid value for money.

This has been the worst travel experience in over a decade. I didn’t even make it past the front door—just walking in, the place felt dead and unclean. The room was filthy, dusty, and clearly hadn’t been properly maintained. No energy, no hospitality, just an eerie silence. I left immediately without checking in. Honestly, it’s not just disappointing—it’s a complete waste of time and money. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons. Would never recommend or come back.

First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Stayed at Dtla Hotel over the weekend and honestly, it was one of the best urban escapes I’ve had in a long time. The hotel’s bar and restaurant stood out—excellent food, great cocktails, and even better service. I’ll never forget meeting Viet at the 18 Social Lounge around 8 PM. He didn’t just pour drinks—he created an experience. We started with the Pineapple Mule and South Side Royal, both perfectly balanced and delicious. Then he went off-menu and crafted something special: a secret '****** Mai Tai' and an Italian Old Fashion. He shared how scent plays just as important a role as taste in cocktail making—such a fascinating insight. The lounge itself is gorgeous, with a sleek design and panoramic city views. It’s ideal for couples or quiet nights out. The whole atmosphere felt intimate and welcoming, like we were part of the scene rather than just guests. The staff truly made the difference—attentive, genuine, and passionate about what they do. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s a destination. If you’re ever in LA, don’t miss this gem. High on style, heart, and hospitality.
