Thikana Delhi ( Boutique B&B)
We stayed at Thikana Delhi right at the start and end of our three-week journey through India, making it a perfect home base. The security team welcomed us warmly even in the middle of the night—such a comforting touch. The next evening, the owner came by for a friendly chat, asked how we were settling in, and shared some great local dining tips. Our room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable—especially the beds. With Delhi’s sweltering heat, the air conditioning worked like a dream. The bathroom was pristine and well-maintained. What stood out most was the rooftop terrace—a peaceful escape to unwind after a hectic first day in New Delhi. We had heavy luggage (over 15 kg) heading to Varanasi, so we left our suitcases at the property with a small fee—no hassle at all. They handled everything with care and flexibility, allowing us to travel light. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A heartfelt thank you to Sheetal and Atul Bhalla and their amazing team. This boutique B&B truly feels like a second home. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to any traveler visiting Delhi.

The staff went above and beyond when I faced travel issues; despite it not being their responsibility, Girish personally helped resolve everything with genuine care. That kind of hospitality truly stands out. For budget-conscious travelers who value location, service, and authenticity, this hotel delivers exceptional value. Highly recommend for those wanting to stay in the heart of Old Delhi.

I stayed in a private room and was extremely impressed by the cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist with any questions I had. They arranged an airport pickup, and even though I arrived late, the driver waited patiently and was very welcoming. They also offer help with sightseeing tours, local SIM cards, and other travel needs—everything is handled smoothly. Located just a 3-minute walk from New Delhi Railway Station, it’s perfect for easy access to public transport and exploring the city. This place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Delhi.

This hotel is excellent! The location is super convenient for visiting Red Fort, just a short walk away with easy access to public transit. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful—always ready to offer tips on nearby attractions and transportation options. The overall experience was top-notch, from check-in to checkout. I’d highly recommend it. One thing to note: there are two hotels in Delhi with similar names, so be sure to double-check the address before arriving to avoid confusion.

But the real highlight? The staff. Vicky, our host, went above and beyond in every way. When we arrived in New Delhi with only a vague idea of what to do, he stepped in like a local expert and helped us plan an entire six-week itinerary. He gave smart advice on transport options, routes, and even arranged airport transfers and accommodations in each city. What made it truly special was his consistent follow-up—he checked in daily to see how we were doing and if there was anything more he could assist with. When delays happened due to traffic or other issues, he calmly rearranged plans without hesitation, always keeping us back on track. Without him and Raj, our trip would’ve been chaotic and stressful. Their knowledge of India is incredible, and their care for guests is genuine. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a travel partner. I can’t recommend this hostel highly enough.

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Nizamuddin Railway Station, making it easy to access by metro or local transport. However, the overall condition is disappointing. The lobby feels outdated and dimly lit, and the room furnishings are worn and dated. The air conditioning unit is extremely noisy, running constantly through the night and disrupting sleep. The mattress is uncomfortable with noticeable springs that creak with every movement. Staff responses are slow and lack initiative when assistance is needed. Water pressure in the bathroom is low, and hot water supply is inconsistent—often requiring long waits for a proper shower. While the location is a plus, the poor quality of amenities and service significantly reduces value for money. This is only suitable for a quick overnight stay if you're on a tight budget. I wouldn't recommend it for families or travelers seeking comfort and reliability.
