The hotel is exceptionally clean and doesn’t carry any of the typical local odors that can sometimes be off-putting—definitely a big plus. I was truly impressed with the overall atmosphere and comfort. Located right next to Suria Sabah Mall, everything you’d need—from shopping to dining—is literally just steps away. The view from the window was stunning, especially during sunset when the city lights began to sparkle. It’s also super convenient for getting to the airport via public transit. This stay exceeded my expectations, and if I ever return to Kota Kinabalu, I’d definitely book here again. Highly recommend this hotel for travelers who value cleanliness, location, and a great vibe.

Cleanliness is good overall, though there was a slight musty smell in the room—nothing major, but worth noting. What truly stands out is the location: directly across from the Kota Kinabalu Tourism Centre, just 2 minutes walk to Sunset Square and about 7–8 minutes to Jesselton Point Pier. On my last day, we returned from the pier during a sudden downpour—no taxis available—but walking back was easy and manageable thanks to the short distance. For travelers on a budget who still want a reliable, well-located, and character-filled stay, Hotel Sixty3 is an excellent choice. It’s convenient, authentic, and delivers great value. Highly recommend!

Staying at Hotel Capital Kota Kinabalu was a great experience. The hotel is perfectly located on Jalan Gaya, making it super convenient to get around—just a short walk to the waterfront and all major attractions. Right behind the hotel are two banks for easy cash exchange, which saved me a lot of hassle. Across the street is a shopping mall, and you can easily walk to Sunrise Square for some retail therapy. There’s also an Orange convenience store nearby where you can store your luggage for free—such a helpful touch! While the hotel is a bit older, the upper-floor rooms are surprisingly quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money and a very convenient location. I’d definitely stay here again.

The host speaks Mandarin and is easy to communicate with via WeChat—just make sure to watch the detailed check-in video they send, as it’s essential for understanding the process. Located right next to Jesselton Premium Outlets and just a short walk from Sunrise Square, everything you need—from dining to shopping—is within easy reach. The rooftop infinity pool overlooking the sea is stunning during the day, but gets crowded at night when people come in their clothes, and the water isn’t very clear. Still, it’s a great spot for a daytime swim. Best of all? No deposit required. This apartment offers excellent value and convenience, especially for families or travelers looking for a comfortable, well-located stay.

The location is unbeatable: right near the end of the Friday-Saturday night market and Sunday morning street fair, so we could step out and dive straight into the vibrant local buzz. The surrounding area is packed with trendy cafes, Instagram-worthy spots, and delicious local eats. It’s the perfect blend of convenience, charm, and authenticity.
