Staying at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu was an absolute delight, especially the Executive Lounge—definitely worth upgrading to if you can. The sunset views from the lounge are breathtaking, and sipping a drink there as the sun dips below the horizon is pure magic. The room itself was spacious and well-maintained, with clean lines and a nice modern vibe. However, I did notice a slight sewer odor in the bathroom—something that could be improved with better ventilation or maintenance. The bed was on the softer side, which didn’t suit my preference for firmer support. That said, the overall experience was excellent, the staff were attentive, and the location made exploring Kota Kinabalu super convenient. A truly memorable stay with only minor tweaks needed.

Staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. From check-in to checkout, every interaction was smooth and pleasant. Staying at Hotel Capital Kota Kinabalu was a great experience. The hotel is perfectly located on Jalan Gaya, making it super convenient to get around—just a short walk to the waterfront and all major attractions. Right behind the hotel are two banks for easy cash exchange, which saved me a lot of hassle. Across the street is a shopping mall, and you can easily walk to Sunrise Square for some retail therapy. There’s also an Orange convenience store nearby where you can store your luggage for free—such a helpful touch! While the hotel is a bit older, the upper-floor rooms are surprisingly quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money and a very convenient location. I’d definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in a breeze. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right in the heart of KK, so everything from shopping to dining is just a short walk away. The only minor downside is parking: since it's such a central spot, securing a space requires attention and caution with your belongings. But overall, this hotel delivers excellent value for money and exceeds expectations in comfort and convenience.

The hotel feels more like a rundown building than a place to stay. The towels are a pale cream color—honestly, they look like old, worn-out white rags that have seen years of use. Water pressure in the shower was extremely poor throughout our four-night stay; for most of the time, it felt like just a trickle, which made showers nearly unbearable. It's disappointing to experience such basic amenities falling short. Given the condition and service, the value doesn't match the price. If comfort and cleanliness matter to you, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
