The housekeeping staff were super friendly—they even let us store our luggage in the room right away, so we didn’t have to carry it around. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed for guest comfort. The building has secure access with keycard elevators, and there’s a lovely pool on the 6th floor—great for relaxing after exploring the city. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and even came with complimentary water and drinks. What stood out most was the service: they reached out before arrival to confirm details, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. No waiting, no hassle—just a seamless stay. Everything about this place exceeded expectations. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu looking for comfort, convenience, and a peaceful seaside vibe.

At night, it’s incredibly peaceful and relaxing, making it feel like a quiet retreat in the middle of the city. Cleanliness, layout, and attention to detail are all top-notch. This is definitely a standout choice if you're visiting Kota Kinabalu—I’d absolutely stay here again.

I arrived late at night, and the front desk agent (even though I didn’t catch her name) was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful—she made me feel right at home. One thing that truly touched me: I accidentally left my wallet behind. Only after reaching the airport did I realize it was missing. I called the hotel immediately, and they confirmed they had kept it safe for me. I was so relieved and emotional—I couldn’t believe how thoughtful and responsible everyone was. From housekeeping to front desk, every team member showed genuine care and professionalism. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a memorable experience. I already know I’ll be back. Staying at Ber-Santai at Marina Court was a highlight of my trip to Kota Kinabalu. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Marina Court, just steps from the lively waterfront promenade and an array of excellent dining options. I loved how convenient it was to have a 24-hour mini-market and McDonald's within walking distance—perfect for late-night snacks or quick meals. The apartment itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The balcony offered stunning sunset views that made every evening truly special. High-speed internet via Unifi and in-unit Wi-Fi kept me connected without any issues. The owner was exceptionally responsive and helpful—when our air conditioning broke, they replaced it promptly, which showed real dedication to guest comfort. The only downside was the swimming pool, which appeared neglected and unusable during our stay. Still, despite that, the combination of prime location, comfortable accommodation, great connectivity, breathtaking views, and outstanding hospitality made this a memorable experience. I’d definitely recommend this property—just be aware the pool might not be ready for use.

Staying at Toojou Kota Kinabalu was a fantastic experience overall. The hostel is clean, spacious, and well-maintained with a generous shared lounge area perfect for relaxing after a day out. Located right on Jalan Gaya, it's incredibly convenient—just steps away from restaurants, local shops, and markets. Getting around town is easy, whether by taxi or public transport. For sunset views, a short ride to the public beach does the trick, and walking north leads you straight to the Shangri-La area—quiet, peaceful, and ideal for unwinding. If you're into nature, I highly recommend the Weston mangrove tour. I booked the Adventure package (available via Taobao), and it was absolutely worth it. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the food served during the trip was delicious, and the wildlife spotting—especially monkeys in the mangroves—was unforgettable. The one downside? It’s a 2.5-hour one-way journey, but honestly, the scenery and experience make every minute worthwhile. This place offers great value and a genuine local vibe—definitely coming back.
