The Bonham
Staying at The Bonham was an excellent experience overall. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the city center and well-connected by public transit. The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with modern touches. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was impressive with fresh options including made-to-order eggs—perfect for starting the day. One downside was the 12.5% fee applied to all purchases made through the platform, which felt a bit unexpected and not clearly communicated upfront. Still, despite that, the quality of the hotel, service, and value for money made it worth it. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.

Absolutely thrilled with this stay! From the moment I walked into the room, I was blown away—the view of Edinburgh’s historic cityscape from the window looked like a painting. Sitting by the window with a cup of tea in the afternoon sun was pure bliss. The apartment is brand new, spotless, and incredibly well-maintained. The bathroom is spacious and modern, and the open kitchen comes fully equipped—perfect for whipping up a quick meal. This has easily been the best accommodation experience during my entire trip to the UK. I actually wanted to extend my stay for another night after returning from the Highlands, but unfortunately, the room was already booked. That’s how much I loved it—I’ll definitely be back!

The room was absolutely fantastic—spacious and well-designed as a suite with a large living area, making it feel more like a home than a hotel. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'd need, including neatly arranged cookware and utensils, which made preparing meals easy and enjoyable. There was also a washer and dryer on-site, perfect for longer stays. Everything was spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained. The only minor hiccup was the self-check-in process, which wasn’t available in multiple languages—this could be challenging for non-English speakers. However, the overall experience was outstanding, and the value for money is excellent. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

There are plenty of restaurants and cozy bars nearby, so dinner and drinks are never an issue. The only downside is the cabinet above the tea station—it has a sharp corner that could easily cause injury if you’re not careful. It’s definitely a safety concern, especially when moving around with luggage or in low light. A simple fix like adding a soft edge cover would go a long way. Otherwise, this hotel offers great value and a welcoming atmosphere.

Piries Hotel
Since traveling to Europe has been a bit risky lately, I decided to go for the next best thing—Scotland. The Piries Hotel is perfectly located near Haymarket Station, just a short walk into the heart of the city, with trams and buses nearby. That said, the room was extremely basic and not at all what I expected when booking. It was also quite noisy because it’s situated right at the base of the stairs leading up to the upper floors. To make matters worse, the hotel charged me twice for the same stay—six weeks apart. I’ve reached out via phone and email, but they’ve refused to respond or explain what went wrong. Honestly, despite the great location, I can’t recommend this hotel under any circumstances. I’ve traveled extensively around the world and have never experienced anything like this before. It’s hard to believe this happened, and I’m left wondering if this is a common issue or just an isolated incident.
