The front desk staff member was exceptionally friendly—tall, polite, and always willing to help with a smile. He made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. My room had plenty of natural sunlight through a large window that could be opened for fresh air, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. The AC kept the room comfortably warm, and every faucet delivered hot water—such a small but thoughtful touch. The room itself was spotless, well-organized, and spacious, with a desk perfect for working or eating. The pillow height was just right, and the thick tissues plus complimentary mineral water were nice extras. The housekeeping staff were also very kind and attentive. What really stood out was how convenient the area is. Right downstairs, there are so many great dining options. Near a local middle school, the food here suits both kids and adults—think McDonald’s, Ji Ming Tangbao, and even a hidden gem called Xin He Zhai for lamb dishes, which is always packed. Another must-try is Hong Jie’s Jianbing, where they serve authentic Nanjing pidi mian with incredibly fresh meat slices—highly recommended! There's also a community service center and an underground market where you can grab steaming hot youtiao and zongzi in the morning. For dinner, I tried Hu Bian Li, and the flavors were outstanding. What truly stood out was the owner’s hospitality—he went above and beyond to help us plan our sightseeing routes, making transportation super easy. When our child didn’t feel like going out and wanted to stay in to watch TV, the owner kindly offered to keep an eye on them—no hassle at all. We felt genuinely welcomed, like family. Even more impressive? I accidentally left behind a jacket, and instead of just saying sorry, he personally arranged for it to be couriered back to us. That level of care is rare these days. There was a comment online mentioning car scratches, but honestly, we were parked right between two other cars, and neither ours nor the others had any damage—so we’re confident it wasn’t from this place. Plus, many hotels charge for parking—up to $6 per hour during the day—but here, free parking is included. That alone makes this hotel a total steal. If you're visiting Nanjing, this is definitely a top pick.
