JR West Rail Pass (HARUKA) (Physical ticket [requires redemption])

【Important Notes】

• Refer to the official website for each JR West Japan station opening hours.
• The reserved seat coupons can be exchanged for one time, and the reserved seats need to be exchanged separately (The reservation is at the green machine or green window).
• When the number of reserved seats is used up or there is no prior redemption of the reserved seat ticket, the ticket can be used to take the free seat directly.

【How to Exchange】
You can choose between two different ways of exchanging it.

HARUKA e-Ticket Machine

Regarding the HARUKA One-Way Ticket (E-MCO Electronic Redemption Voucher) product, the dedicated redemption machines will be discontinued.

The redemption service at the "Dedicated Redemption Machines (white-colored machines)" located inside JR Kansai Airport Station will be available only until October 31, 2025.

Starting from November 1, 2025, these dedicated machines will be officially decommissioned. However, tickets can still pick up tickets at the Green ticket-vending machine.

1. Physical tickets exchanged by 'HARUKA e-Ticket Machine' cannot be canceled even before the start of use.
2. Please display the QR-CODE of the e-ticket to exchange the 'train ticket' from "HARUKA e-Ticket Machine" in front of the JR ticket gates

• Scan the QR code at the ticket vending machine.
• Select a train. You may choose the train that departs in 5 minutes.
• Take your boarding pass from the machine and bring it to the window for manual check-in.

3. If the "HARUKA e-Ticket Machine" does not work properly, please exchange your ticket at a JR-West ticket office "Green Window" or Green Ticket-Vending Machines with a passport mark on the machine at the station.

4. You can exchange your ticket from 5:30 a.m. to 5 minutes before the last train of the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA" on the day of boarding.

5. If the reserved-seat car (car No. 4) of your train is crowded, you can use the unreserved seats.

6. After the e-ticket is exchanged for a train ticket, you will not be able to get a refund or change the date of use and the train you chose.

7. The train ticket cannot be reissued if you lost it. Please buy a new ticket.

8. After you exchanged for a physical train ticket if the train you plan to take is suspended before boarding, please use the non-reserved seats of another "HARUKA" or the Kansai-Airport Rapid Service.

Green ticket-vending machine

1. Confirmation email will be sent to the appointed email address once the booking is made.
2. Please go to green ticket-vending machines and pick up physical ticket by scanning QR code of e-ticket and non-Japanese passport. (Operation menus of machine can be displayed in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, or Korean.)

※If the machine breaks down or the passport has no IC chip, please proceed to JR-WEST Ticket Office to exchange physical ticket.

3. Then, the physical pass is successfully redeemed.

4. Exchanging reserved seat tickets: before getting on the train, please go to green ticket-vending machines and pick up physical reserved seat tickets by the area pass.

【Cancellation Policy】

Cannot be cancelled, refunded or changed

【Terms & Conditions】

- Children: 6 to 11 years old (on the day the exchange ticket is issued or when purchasing a free pass)

- Adults or children with a free pass can bring up to 2 infants (1 to 5 years old) together for free.

- Separate pass is required from the third child.

- Free for infants under one year old.

- A rail pass is only valid for its rail pass holder only.

- A passport must be carried when a rail pass is used and presented when a JR staff asks to.

- A rail pass will be void if the magnetic ticket is detached from a rail pass book.

- A rail pass will not be reissued even if lost or stolen.

- Conditions of use for a rail pass are stipulated by JR-WEST's and JR-SHIKOKU's carriage conditions and laws of Japan.

- Conditions of use for an exchange order are stipulated by regulations and contracts of issuing companies.

- If any discrepancies arise between the foreign language and Japanese versions of the carriage conditions, the Japanese version has precedence.
