Most guesthouses near the old town have narrow, confusing roads where getting a ride via Didi would’ve been a nightmare. Breakfast was simple but delicious—either rice noodles or congee. I went for the noodles with extra green onions, served with a rich broth and meat, plus a small condiment bar to customize your taste. Even though we had rainy and chilly weather during our entire 2-night stay, the sauna became my go-to spot for relaxation and warmth. One small downside? The shower and toilet area aren’t fully private—while the front is opaque, the sides are open, so family members can’t use it simultaneously without feeling awkward. But that’s a tiny trade-off. Overall, the room had large windows, clean modern furniture, and a peaceful vibe. I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. The rooms are cozy, well-appointed, and incredibly relaxing — just lying in bed, listening to the breeze and looking out at the snow-capped peaks, it feels like time slows down. The garden is beautifully designed with seasonal flowers and thoughtful landscaping, making every corner feel serene and inspiring. I didn’t do much during my stay — just lounging by the courtyard, sipping tea, and soaking in the views. It’s exactly the kind of escape I needed.
