Hua Shan Market isn’t just a night market—it’s a sensory explosion. Open at 6 AM, it bursts with fresh fish, handmade noodles, and grandma-style sauces that fill the air with irresistible aroma. Step into the stalls and unlock a mini food treasure chest: crispy fried chicken, juicy stinky tofu, and that hidden gem—the peanut candy ice that hits the sweet spot perfectly. Beyond the flavors, it’s the warmth of vendors shouting ‘Eat yet?’ and the genuine smiles that make this more than a meal—it’s a taste of real Taipei heart.

Hotel Indigo Taipei North

Staying at Hotel Indigo Taipei North was a fantastic experience overall. I booked a room with either two twin beds or one king bed, but upon arrival, the front desk mentioned that upgrading to a king-sized bed would incur an extra charge—though it didn’t affect my enjoyment at all. The room itself was immaculately clean, with stylish and modern design elements throughout. The lighting, furniture, and thoughtful touches made the space feel both chic and welcoming. Staff were friendly and efficient, offering helpful recommendations during check-in. Room amenities were well-planned and practical, adding to the comfort. Located in the heart of Da-zhi, it’s super convenient for exploring nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. If you're looking for a stylish, well-located stay in Taipei with great value, this hotel is definitely a top choice.

Staying at City Suites Taipei Nandong was a truly pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly courteous and always ready to help—when I asked them to freeze a freshly bought milk roll, they happily accommodated it. Though it wasn’t as frozen as I’d hoped upon retrieval, their willingness to assist was appreciated. Every morning, the housekeeping team greeted me with a smile, politely checking if I needed cleaning, water refills, or trash removal—always considerate without being intrusive. The room matched the photos perfectly: clean, well-organized, and just the right size for one person, or even two if you're traveling together. It’s comfortably spacious without feeling empty. Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei

I’d been wanting to stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei for a while, mainly because my travel group consisted of three people who all wanted individual beds and a single room. I was a bit hesitant at first since most of the online reviews were from 2017–2018, but once I arrived, I completely changed my mind—this hotel exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is incredibly luxurious, and the overall quality is top-notch. The room was much bigger than the photos suggested, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable feel. From the moment we walked in, the bell staff and front desk team were welcoming and professional—every interaction was pleasant. The signature fragrance and premium toiletries added that extra touch of sophistication. Initially, I was disappointed to learn that none of the four-room options had views of Taipei 101 (which was part of our original shortlist), but after seeing the room in person, I didn’t care about the view at all—the condition, cleanliness, and comfort were just too good. During our 3-night stay, we only encountered one other Korean guest (in the elevator!), and the breakfast area and pool were mostly filled with European travelers, giving it a very international vibe. What stood out the most was how the hotel proactively sent us a confirmation email after booking to confirm our schedule—something many 5-star hotels don’t do. It made planning so much easier and gave me peace of mind. Overall, this trip was enjoyable and stress-free thanks to the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

W Taipei

Staying at W Taipei was an absolute delight—every detail screams luxury and thoughtfulness. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the metro, making it easy to explore Taipei. I loved the little touches: USB-C outlets, wireless charging pads, and even complimentary capsule coffee in the room. While the minibar items are extra-charge, the overall value still feels strong. The sauna experience was exceptional—pure relaxation. The 24-hour gym is a major plus for early birds or night owls like me. One small note: the speakers in the room are a bit quiet and lack strong audio impact, but it’s hardly a dealbreaker. Oh, and the hairdryer? A Dyson—yes, really! That alone made the stay feel extra special. Overall, this is a top-tier urban retreat with style, comfort, and attention to detail.

Mandarin Oriental Taipei

This trip to Asia included stays at other luxury hotels like Mandarin Oriental's counterparts, but none could match the exceptional experience at Mandarin Oriental Taipei. From the moment I walked in, warm greetings from staff made me feel instantly welcome—like coming home. The room was immaculately clean and meticulously maintained; even my tangled data cable was neatly organized and secured with a hotel-provided tie. Daily water replenishment was prompt, and the nightly turndown service went above and beyond—my room was refreshed, essentials restocked, and everything put back just right. The location is fantastic: surrounded by excellent restaurants and easily accessible via public transit to major attractions. Every team member I interacted with showed genuine care and professionalism. It’s rare to find such consistent attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

Located just minutes from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Taipei, and the overall experience was outstanding. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Taipei Marriott Hotel

The lobby on the first floor is beautifully designed with a grand, welcoming atmosphere. Multiple elevators mean no long waits—definitely a plus for convenience. We booked during the week, but unexpectedly found the hotel fully booked that day, leaving only double rooms available. We even wanted to extend our stay by one more night, but unfortunately, the next day was also completely full—really disappointing! Still, the room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There are plenty of dining options right downstairs, and across the street, you’ll find a 7-Eleven and a Cosme store—super convenient for snacks or essentials. The location and service make it worth returning. My only advice? Book early—don’t wait until the last minute, especially if you’re planning a weekend or midweek trip!

My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed, with a plush bed and an incredible view of Taipei 101—worth every penny. Housekeeping maintained the highest standard throughout my visit, keeping everything spotless and well-organized. Breakfast was a highlight—a generous buffet offering a wide range of fresh, delicious options from both Western and Asian cuisines. I especially appreciated the quality and variety. The fitness center and pool were well-maintained and offered a peaceful retreat after a long day. Overall, this hotel delivers on every front: comfort, service, and convenience.
