Forêt Guest House
I've stayed at Forêt Guest House four times now, and even though the ownership has changed recently, the service has actually gotten better—really impressed! I love traveling solo, and this place makes it so comfortable and safe. I booked a four-person room but was staying alone, and it worked out perfectly—plenty of space, good privacy, and no worries at all. The only small thing is the pillows—they're too soft and low, so I ended up bringing my own pillowcase with a stuffed toy to prop myself up. But honestly, that’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise outstanding experience. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and staff kindness make it worth every penny. Definitely coming back again. Thanks for such a great stay!

As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and welcomed here. The hostel is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet surrounded by plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and local eateries—perfect for daily needs. Every day at 11 AM, the host personally cleans the rooms, which really shows how much they care about hygiene and guest comfort. All photos are unedited and true to life. During my three-night stay, I met travelers from Japan, the U.S., and China—all respectful, friendly, and easy to get along with. The host is incredibly warm and engaging, fluent in English, Japanese, and Mandarin, making conversations smooth and natural. The space is clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. For anyone traveling alone, especially women, this place offers peace of mind, great vibes, and excellent value. I’d definitely come back.
Seocho Intoraon Hotel and Residence
I stayed here a few times and overall, I was quite satisfied. The location is right between Gangnam Station and Namdaemun Station, making it super convenient for subway access—perfect if you're exploring Seoul. That said, the area is packed with motels, and the building doesn’t clearly say 'hotel' on the outside, so finding it can be tricky. You only see the sign once you’re inside the lobby. The room felt more like a spacious apartment than a traditional hotel—very comfortable, cozy, and homey. There were quite a few long-term residents too, which added to the quiet, lived-in vibe. Cleaning and towel quality were decent, but customer service left a lot to be desired. Phone numbers weren't easy to find, and when I did call, some lines were disconnected or went unanswered. Those who answered seemed unfamiliar with basic info—almost like temporary staff with no training—and their attitude was notably unfriendly. It made me question whether this place was real at all. For a hotel that serves short-term guests, better staff training is definitely needed. Parking fees are also extremely high—would’ve been great if there was a discount for guests. One major downside: the access code is only activated at 6 PM. Even arriving just a minute early means you can't get in, which caused some serious confusion. This detail should be clearly mentioned somewhere. Otherwise, all facilities are brand new and well-maintained. If you're looking for a quiet, apartment-style stay with good value and don’t mind a self-service setup, this place is worth considering—especially for younger travelers. However, older guests might struggle with the automated system.

There are several convenience stores nearby, with the closest being a Seven Eleven, and other GS or Seven Eleven branches within a 5–6 minute radius—perfect for last-minute essentials. The address is easy to follow on navigation apps, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. From the moment I stepped in, it felt like home—warm, cozy, and inviting. I slept really well, thanks to the electric blanket on the bed and the consistently strong hot water supply. Towels are provided (2 per guest), and while the kitchen and bathroom are shared, they’re kept clean and well-maintained. This place offers an unbeatable value for money. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.

While it still has that motel-like vibe, the quiet atmosphere made it perfect for a relaxing stay—no noise disturbances at all. With its unbeatable location and peaceful environment, I’d definitely come back again.
