Staying at Astar Hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were spotlessly clean and quiet, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation. While there aren’t many shops nearby, it’s just a 20-minute ride to the Shilla Duty-Free area if you’re looking to shop or explore. The hotel is conveniently located near a cozy Korean-style fast food spot—something like Yong... whatever it's called—and their food was surprisingly tasty. I also loved the nearby Ruby Ice Cream shop; their ice cream was creamy and refreshing. Breakfast was a highlight too—the fish dish stood out with its fresh flavor and excellent quality. Overall, the atmosphere of the hotel felt peaceful and well-maintained. And yes, Jeju Island truly lives up to the hype—it’s vibrant, beautiful, and full of charm. If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet base with good food options nearby and easy access to key attractions, this place is definitely worth considering. Great value for money!

Location-wise, it’s super convenient with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and public transit nearby. I found it easy to get around town using the subway. Free Wi-Fi is available with no password required, though they don’t provide disposable toothbrushes; however, they do offer toothpaste, a reusable cup, shampoo, conditioner, and a refreshing citrus-scented soap. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a stunning view of the rainbow-colored pathway leading straight to the sea, plus a small private balcony perfect for morning coffee or sunset views. Check-in time is after 3 PM, so if you arrive early or late at night, you might need to wait—but staff are always helpful with updates. Check-out is before 11 AM, and returning your key to the front desk is all you need to do; no hassle at all. Even though the website mentions that front desk staff only speak Korean, I called ahead to confirm my reservation—and they actually arranged for a multilingual staff member who speaks Chinese, which made the entire process much smoother and more comfortable. The room itself is cozy and well-equipped: a heating system and electric blanket kept me warm throughout the night, making it hard to get out of bed in the morning. There’s also a beautiful makeup mirror beside the bed, which makes applying makeup under natural light feel like a real treat. Despite being near the airport, airplane noise isn’t noticeable—though some footstep sounds from guests below can be heard. Overall, this place offers great value, excellent hospitality, and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jeju!
