Shilla Stay Mapo (Hongdae)
Staying at Shilla Stay Mapo (Hongdae) was an excellent experience overall. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from Hongdae Station Exit 1, with a 7-Eleven right next door and other convenience stores like CU and OY within easy reach. The room was more spacious than expected for a city hotel; we had two suitcases laid out flat on the floor, yet still felt plenty of room to move around. Daily housekeeping made the stay even more comfortable. The only minor downside was the sound insulation—some noise from neighboring rooms came through, but it didn’t disrupt our rest significantly. For the price and location, this place offers great value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul’s vibrant Hongdae area.

Staying at Amanti Hotel Seoul was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from Hongdae’s bustling main street, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the housekeeping team was polite and professional. The room was warm and cozy, making it ideal for a comfortable stay, especially during colder months. One minor note: the bathroom and shower can’t be used simultaneously, but that didn’t detract much from the overall experience. There are also multiple public buses right outside the hotel, making travel around Seoul super convenient. I’d definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul—great value, great vibe, and a real home away from home.

The Comfort Inn Yeouido is incredibly well-located—just a short walk to the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around Seoul. The airport bus stop is also nearby, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s sleep. I loved that I could take the subway directly to Myeongdong without any transfers—super efficient. The station is literally just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and across the street is the National Assembly building. It’s such a great central location with excellent access to everything. Highly recommend this place—it’s a fantastic value and I’d definitely stay here again.
Petercat Hotel Shinchon
This trip's biggest surprise was definitely this hotel! Stepping into the room, I was greeted by a stunning view of lush greenery and distant mountain ranges. Waking up to sunlight and birdsong felt so peaceful, and spending evenings on the balcony sipping tea while watching the sunset paint the sky was pure therapy after a long journey. The room design is thoughtfully done—warm wood furniture, soft ambient lighting, and incredibly comfortable cotton bedding paired with blackout curtains that made for a deep, restful sleep. Details truly stood out: the bathroom is fully separated into dry and wet zones, plus they provided bath salts and disposable bathtub covers—perfect for unwinding before bed. The mini-bar offered complimentary drinks on arrival, including locally inspired fruit-floral teas that were refreshingly sweet. Best of all, it’s located in a quiet spot just a 10-minute walk from bustling local food streets—plenty of charm without the noise. This place has already made my list of must-stay hotels for next time in Seoul. A perfect retreat for anyone looking to slow down and truly unwind.

The room was spacious enough for four people, with plenty of room to move around and store belongings. Cleaning is done only upon request, but the place remains very clean and well-maintained overall. One major plus is having a washing machine in the unit—no need to go downstairs or wait in line. There’s also a shared laundry and dryer on the third floor if you prefer, which is convenient when traveling with a lot of clothes. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, so bringing luggage up and down can be a bit tiring—just be prepared to use your energy! If you arrive early and the room isn’t ready yet, they provide a secure space on the ground floor to store your bags. Location-wise, it’s perfect—right next to the subway station, surrounded by cafes, convenience stores, and just a short walk from Daiso and other shops selling everything from daily essentials and contact lenses to souvenirs and quick bites. It’s ideal for travelers who value convenience, affordability, and a local vibe—all in a great neighborhood.

Staying at The Connoisseur Residence Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul was a great experience overall. While it’s a bit farther from the main tourist attractions, the proximity to subway stations makes getting around the city incredibly convenient. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, with friendly staff making the process hassle-free. The room itself is well-equipped—especially the laundry machine and dryer, which made my stay much more comfortable, particularly during longer visits. The space felt spacious and clean, with modern amenities that added to the comfort. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would definitely book again. If the price were a little more competitive, this would be my go-to hotel every time I visit Seoul.

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul
The hotel is immaculate and beautifully designed, with an unbeatable location just steps away from LFC. What truly stood out was the front desk staff member who happened to be from Hong Kong—when they noticed we didn’t speak Korean, they went above and beyond to assist with check-in, patiently guiding us through the process. It’s rare to feel such genuine care while traveling far from home. I really wanted to thank them in person, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to see them again. Finding a familiar face in a foreign city made all the difference—it felt like a small but meaningful connection. A heartfelt thanks to that kind soul for making our stay so much more personal and welcoming.

I stayed here during Chuseok and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to the nearby motels, this place stands out as a much better option—especially if you're staying in Dongjak or Daebangdong area. The rooms have great potential; with a bit more upkeep, it could easily be a solid 4-star hotel. It's just a short walk from the subway station, making commuting super convenient. There are plenty of dining options around, so whether you're hanging out with friends or enjoying a quiet evening with your partner, this is the perfect spot to unwind. A truly relaxing and comfortable stay that feels like your own personal retreat.
