Special mention goes to Charisa—her warm, cheerful demeanor and thorough, friendly explanations made the whole afternoon feel truly special. The quality of the food was outstanding: fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight, perfectly paired with the rich, aromatic teas. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet welcoming, and the location is ideal—just steps from the city center and easily accessible by public transit. It’s not just a treat—it’s an unforgettable experience. I’d definitely return and bring friends along for this gem.

President Hotel Cape Town

Staying at President Hotel Cape Town was an absolute highlight of my trip to Cape Town. The location couldn’t be better—just a 5-minute walk to the beach, which made morning strolls along the waterfront so relaxing. I booked the Ocean Classic Room with a private balcony, and even though the platform didn’t show any photos of this room type, I had zero worries once I arrived. The rooms (647 and 648) are on the top floor (6th level), situated on the northeast side of the hotel—perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset over the ocean. The views were stunning and truly unforgettable. Since the two rooms were adjacent, we even hosted a little dinner gathering—very convenient and social. The double bed can be split into two single beds, which was great for different sleep preferences. Each room comes with two 1-liter bottles of water, packaged coffee, and tea. The black tea is actually a local South African specialty—I highly recommend trying it! Breakfast was excellent: abundant, varied, and satisfying. One thing to note: the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers—you’ll need to bring your own. Cleanliness was decent overall, but bathroom amenities were basic. The hairdryer was tucked inside a drawer on the desk, and I didn’t find it right away on day one. Daily housekeeping is included, and it’s customary to leave a $2 tip on the nightstand—simple and thoughtful. Keep in mind that South Africa uses Type M plugs, so pack a universal adapter, especially one with round two-pin sockets. Overall, this place stands out for its unbeatable sea views, quiet atmosphere, and genuine charm. Most guests seemed to be from Europe and North America, with few Asian travelers around—great if you prefer a more relaxed, low-key vibe. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and breathtaking ocean scenery.

Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa

Staying at Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa was a truly memorable experience. The view from the room is absolutely stunning—every morning I woke up to the endless ocean vista, and the sunsets were nothing short of magical. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, though the mattress could feel a bit soft for heavier guests. A few outlets didn’t work properly in my room, so it’s worth checking when you check in. One thing to note: the hotel doesn’t provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or disposable slippers—pack your own essentials. Breakfast has improved since last year! While still not quite catering to every taste (especially for those craving Chinese flavors), there’s now more variety than before, with fresh local options. Overall, the breathtaking coastal setting makes this place unforgettable. It’s definitely a top choice if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with nature at your doorstep. I’d absolutely recommend it—and I’ll be back.

The Ritz Cape Town

Absolutely unforgettable! Stayed at The Ritz Cape Town in December 2003 with my classmates during our graduation trip. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special and luxurious. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—attentive, polite, and genuinely caring. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning view of the ocean. Waking up to that sight every morning made the trip even more magical. The dining options were excellent, with delicious meals and great service. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and hospitality. This stay is still one of my most cherished memories. If you’re looking for a truly memorable getaway in Cape Town, this hotel is a must. I’d return in a heartbeat.

21 Nettleton Boutique Hotel & Luxury Residence

My fiancé and I stayed for 7 nights at 21 Nettleton and were completely blown away by every aspect of our experience. Perched atop Clifton, the hotel offers some of the most breathtaking views in Cape Town—uninterrupted vistas of Clifton Beach, Camps Bay, and the Twelve Apostles that take your breath away. The butler service is truly outstanding: requests made via the in-room iPad are handled promptly, and having a direct WhatsApp contact made it easy to get help even when we were out exploring. Staff went above and beyond—they remembered our preferences, like swapping all regular cokes in the complimentary minibar for Coke Zero after noticing our repeated orders. Special shoutout to the concierge team, especially Nathan—he arranged everything from private massages and yoga sessions to a personalized hiking tour, all delivered with top-tier quality. And let’s not forget the chef’s signature homemade berry crumble—it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s an unforgettable experience.

Ellerman House

Staying at Ellerman House for the third time only deepened my admiration for this remarkable place. From the moment you arrive, you're enveloped in a rare blend of refined luxury and heartfelt warmth. The service is consistently exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, professional yet genuinely friendly. Our room was breathtaking, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean that truly need to be seen to be believed. Elegant furnishings, stunning artwork throughout, and an incredibly comfortable bed made for the perfect night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully designed, with thoughtfully chosen toiletries. Every detail was considered—from the well-stocked minibar to the guest pantry, which offers fresh-baked treats and snacks 24/7. Breakfast on the veranda is pure joy, setting the tone for a perfect day. Cocktail hour is magical: expertly crafted drinks paired with exquisite canapés, an experience worth remembering. I found a little nook just outside the study—a sunny spot by a gentle fountain with cozy outdoor seating—where I’d love to spend hours. The gym offers jaw-dropping views, and though I didn’t visit the spa this time, I’m already looking forward to returning for another unforgettable massage. The on-site art gallery is world-class, showcasing a beautifully curated collection of South African contemporary art. The wine gallery is both an architectural gem and a tribute to local winemaking—absolutely must-see. During our stay, my partner had to leave unexpectedly due to a family emergency. The staff’s compassion and support were deeply touching—especially Marilie, whose empathy and kindness meant more than words can express. That level of humanity is what sets Ellerman apart. Dinner was as impeccable as always, paired with outstanding South African wines. Though I don’t recall the waiter’s name, he was charming and attentive. In an industry where genuine hospitality is rare, Ellerman House stands as a shining example of how it should be done. I work in a five-star hotel myself, and honestly, every property should take inspiration from this one. Can’t wait to come back.

The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa

Staying at The Glen Boutique Hotel & Spa in Cape Town was one of those rare experiences that truly elevates a trip from good to unforgettable. I've traveled extensively, but few hotels have made such a lasting impression—this one absolutely did. From the moment you arrive, the staff’s warm smiles and attentive service set the tone for an exceptional stay. Every detail feels intentional: spotless rooms with soft towels, fresh fruit, and ambient candles create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The spa is a highlight—steam rooms, dry sauna, and both solo and couples treatments are available, making it perfect for relaxation or romance. Breakfast is a real treat—freshly baked pastries, hot dishes like eggs, omelettes, and a hearty full English breakfast, plus yogurt, seasonal fruit, coffee, tea, and freshly squeezed juices. It’s the kind of meal that energizes your day. By the infinity pool, the team brings cocktails and light snacks—worth every penny for the ambiance alone. And if you’re eager to explore Cape Town’s famous vineyards or nearby attractions, they’ll happily tailor a tour to fit your schedule. The location in High Point is quiet yet convenient, just a 15-minute ride to V&A Waterfront for shopping and dining. Whether you want to stay in and enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel or venture out, there’s something great around every corner. Honestly, the only downside? Having to leave after such a perfect stay.
