I also tried the paid sauna option—it was a great way to unwind after a long day. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, fresh and well-prepared. I loved starting my morning at a window seat, sipping coffee while watching the sunrise—peaceful and refreshing. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a bed and pillows that were just right—not too soft, not too firm. While they don’t provide toothbrushes or toothpaste (eco-friendly policy), they do offer slippers and two bottles of bottled water daily. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I arrived at 8 a.m., checked in immediately, and they stored my luggage right away. After a full morning of exploring, I returned by noon and was already checked in—no waiting, no hassle. Staff were friendly, efficient, and most importantly, spoke fluent Chinese, making communication seamless throughout. The room is on the smaller side, but spotless and well-maintained, with two bottles of water delivered daily. For travelers focused on shopping and sightseeing, the size doesn’t matter at all. Plus, it’s just a 3-4 minute walk to both the subway station and airport bus stop—perfect for quick access to the airport or other parts of Seoul. Everything about this experience was smooth, convenient, and highly satisfying. I’d definitely stay here again.
Hostel Korea - Changdeokgung
The triple room we stayed in had four beds, and the space was actually larger than I expected—definitely more roomy than most hostels I've been to. The front desk staff speaks a bit of Chinese and can manage basic English conversations, and they were very responsive and helpful. We only received one key card initially, which made splitting up a bit inconvenient, but after mentioning it, they quickly provided two extra ones—really thoughtful! The nearby 7-Eleven is super convenient; just exit subway line 7, walk straight across the street, and you're there. It's a short walk if you're not carrying heavy luggage. Waste sorting isn't strictly enforced, but there’s a large trash bin right at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor, so you can easily bring your trash down without hassle. Overall, this place offers great value, excellent location, and a comfortable stay—definitely a top pick for travelers visiting Seoul.
