We visited Seoul in the dead of winter, and the hotel’s location made everything so convenient: airport shuttle, subway access, and taxis were all easy to reach—essential for someone used to warmer weather like us. We didn’t book breakfast through the hotel, but there’s a cozy A Twosome Place café in the lobby and a GS25 convenience store nearby—perfect for grabbing a quick morning bite. The area is packed with restaurants, and walking just a few minutes gets you to Shinsegae Department Store, Namdaemun Market, and Myeongdong shopping street. Honestly, if we’d come during a warmer season, we could’ve explored even more. But even in winter, the location, comfort, and convenience made this stay absolutely worthwhile. Highly recommend for travelers who value accessibility and a central base.

Staying at Kensington Hotel Yeouido was a perfect choice for my trip to Seoul, especially since I was attending a concert at Gocheok Dome. The nearby Hyundai Department Store, along with a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores, made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. Best of all, the hotel overlooks the Han River—waking up to that view and taking a morning jog in the adjacent park was one of the highlights. Though some facilities feel a bit dated, the overall experience was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and offered complimentary luggage storage, which came in handy. Room service was attentive and thoughtful. Despite minor wear, the location, comfort, and hospitality make this hotel a great value—definitely a place I’d return to.

This is our second stay at this lovely hotel, and we’re even more impressed this time around. We were in room 1222 on the 12th floor—quiet, well-lit, and with a great view. The shower curtain was a bit worn on day one, but by the next morning it had already been replaced without us even having to ask—really impressive attention to detail. One small downside: there were no charging ports or outlets near the bed, which made plugging in devices a bit of a hassle. However, after we mentioned it during our last night, they promptly added a multi-outlet adapter near the bedside table. It wasn’t perfect—still not ideal for charging while lying in bed—but definitely a welcome upgrade. Overall, the staff’s responsiveness and hospitality made a big difference. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the subway, and everything from shopping to sightseeing is super accessible. A truly enjoyable experience, and we’ll definitely be back.
