Grand Hotel Europe

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the heart of Saint Petersburg, making it incredibly easy to explore the city on foot or by metro. The building itself feels like a former noble estate, with grand architecture and timeless elegance that immediately sets the tone upon arrival. What truly stood out was the attention to detail—the flower arrangements at the entrance were fresh and beautifully changed during my stay, even though I noticed them earlier in the morning. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a warm, personalized touch throughout. Rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and the service is genuinely courteous and efficient. For such a luxurious experience at this level, the value is outstanding. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next visit to St. Petersburg.

Wawelberg Hotel

Staying at Wawelberg Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to St. Petersburg. The location is unbeatable—just across the street from the Hermitage Museum, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot. The room was spacious and impeccably designed, with high-quality furnishings and excellent amenities. I especially appreciated the minibar, which was restocked daily and completely free—no extra charges, just pure convenience. The bathroom was luxurious and comfortable, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Breakfast was a mixed bag: the ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the à la carte menu was beautifully presented. However, the flavors didn’t quite live up to expectations—while the presentation was stellar, the taste was underwhelming, and after three consecutive days, it started to feel repetitive. Still, this minor drawback doesn’t take away from the exceptional value and comfort this hotel offers. For great location, elegant design, and thoughtful touches, Wawelberg Hotel earns every bit of its top rating.

The room was spacious and well-designed—especially the bathroom with a clean separation between wet and dry areas. The twin beds provided ample room, easily fitting two 28-inch suitcases without any hassle. There’s a coffee machine in the room, though I didn’t quite figure out how to use it—still, the effort to provide one made me feel cared for. Over my four-night stay, I asked for mineral water several times—around 30 bottles—and never once was I turned down. The staff were consistently polite and attentive. Catherine Art Hotel

Staying at Catherine Art Hotel felt like being right in the heart of Saint Petersburg—just a quick walk from Nevsky Prospekt and Gostiny Dvor metro stations, turning the corner and you're there. Despite its central location, the rooms face a surprisingly quiet courtyard, so we woke up to birdsong each morning—a peaceful start to the day. While some traffic noise from Nevsky Avenue does filter through, it’s minimal and never disruptive. The room itself is compact, as described, but perfectly functional and well-designed. The bed was comfortable with a medium-soft mattress that supported me just right, and the blanket was cozy without being too heavy. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully curated—great location, charming atmosphere, and excellent value. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. The room itself was cozy and thoughtfully designed, with a unique layout that made the space feel both intimate and spacious. Aparthotel Vertical

We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The space was more than sufficient for eight people—no crowding at all—and the photos truly matched reality. The soundproofing in the unit is excellent; even with loud music outside, we couldn’t hear anything when the door was closed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. In the lobby, right across from the front desk, there’s a large aquarium filled with turtles and other aquatic life. If you’re waiting to check in, it’s nice to just relax and watch the fish swim around. Overall, the stay left a very positive impression. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily return.
