These sites represent China’s oldest educational institutions, dating back to the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, offering deep insights into imperial scholarship and Confucian tradition.

Multiple bus routes also connect the area to Nanluoguxiang and Houhai Lake. Use apps like Baidu Maps or Amap for real-time transit updates and contactless payments—ensuring seamless, flexible exploration across Beijing’s historic core.

Near An Ding Men Bridge, don’t miss a guided Hutong Walking Tour led by local experts through An Ding Men Inner Street and Jiaodao Kou South Street. You’ll explore century-old siheyuans, learn about Beijing’s alleyway naming system, and experience daily life in traditional courtyard homes.

Additionally, participate in intangible cultural heritage workshops such as Peking Opera face painting, paper cutting, or tea ceremony—many held at venues near Guozijian, featuring serene, classical settings. In the evening, head to Guilin Street (Guicheng Street) for a vibrant food scene: savor spicy hot pot, roasted duck, and local snacks under red lanterns, capturing the city’s lively street culture.

Kerry Hotel, Beijing

My stay at Kerry Hotel, Beijing was truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. The front desk agent, Miss Sun Yan, was incredibly efficient and professional—check-in was quick and smooth, and she patiently answered all my questions with a warm smile. I especially appreciated her help during New Year's Eve for securing a great spot to enjoy the first-floor party; it made the celebration even more memorable. I also want to commend the housekeeping staff on the 16th floor, particularly Mr. Fan, who consistently maintained an immaculate environment. His attention to detail—like straightening misplaced items and ensuring every corner was spotless—made the entire floor feel fresh and welcoming. I initially planned to stay just one night, but the level of care and comfort convinced me to extend my booking. It’s rare to find such thoughtful hospitality in a luxury hotel, and this experience has definitely earned a repeat visit. Highly recommended.

Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong

We’ve made it a family tradition to ring in the New Year at this hotel every year, and it’s become one of our most cherished rituals. On New Year’s Eve, we enjoy a warm bowl of soba noodles at the second-floor Japanese restaurant — the atmosphere is cozy and festive. The next morning, we sip traditional tosukuri sake and savor a delightful Japanese breakfast before heading out on bikes to Jingshan Park to welcome the first rays of sunlight. This year, I was truly impressed by the improved service — the dining area has been upgraded with a fresh, modern touch, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s not just a hotel for us; it’s a place where we connect with culture and create lasting memories. We’re so grateful for the warmth and attention to detail. Here’s hoping they keep raising the bar — this place means something special to us, and we’ll definitely be back again.

Lido Serviced Residence(Fangyuan West Road Branch)

Staying at Lido Serviced Residence (Fangyuan West Road Branch) in Beijing was an absolutely fantastic experience, especially during a four-day period when my child was taking exams. Although the check-in location is separate from the serviced apartment building, it didn’t cause any inconvenience at all—parking was super easy, either at Lido Plaza or nearby paid lots. The apartment building has on-site staff available 24/7, which added great peace of mind. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with a microwave, gas stove, and full kitchenware—perfect for preparing simple meals, which was a big plus while managing a busy schedule. I especially appreciated the thoughtful service from team members like Shen Yuezhen, Zhu Yinxian, and Man Yun. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even remembering we had a young one traveling with us. Their professionalism and warmth truly made a difference. This place offers excellent value and comfort—definitely planning to return.

This stay completely exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked into the lobby—there was a genuine warmth and thoughtfulness in the service that made all the difference. The room was spotless and bright, with a smartly designed bathroom featuring a perfect dry/wet separation. Blossom House·HouHai Beijing

Staying at Blossom House·Hou Hai Beijing in Yangfang Hutong was such a delightful experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Houhai Lake and the Drum Tower, making it perfect for exploring Beijing’s historic heart. The hotel’s interior design stands out with its creative use of irregular shapes, which might not be everyone’s taste, but I appreciated the unique character. What truly impressed me was the comfort of the bed—excellent mattress and high-quality linens made for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast offered both set menus and à la carte options, so there was something for everyone, and nothing went to waste. The staff—Liu Linlin, Xiao Xi, and Xiao Zheng—were incredibly warm and attentive. They helped with luggage, offered free yogurt and fresh fruit, and always had a smile. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a home. This place has a special charm, and I’ll definitely return.

Four Seasons Hotel Beijing

Our first trip to Beijing with the family was made unforgettable by staying at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing. From the moment we arrived, every detail felt thoughtfully crafted. Special thanks to Henry from the concierge team for the little bunny he gave our daughter—she’s been carrying it everywhere ever since, absolutely smitten! We were also touched by Rebecca and Ethan from guest experience, who prepared a special photo frame as a keepsake. When we returned to our room, my daughter spotted it instantly and exclaimed, 'This is me and Daddy!' The joy and emotion in that moment brought tears to our eyes. The warmth and personal touch from every staff member made us feel truly welcomed, especially during Beijing’s chilly winter. It wasn’t just a hotel stay—it felt like coming home. We’re already planning our next visit, and there’s no place else we’d rather stay. Thank you for making our memories so precious.

Staying at Conrad Beijing was an absolute delight from start to finish. Located just minutes from the bustling East Third Ring Road, getting in and out of the city was incredibly convenient—no stress, no hassle. The room itself is thoughtfully designed with a perfect separation between wet and dry areas, making it both practical and comfortable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service: every staff member greeted us warmly and professionally, always with a smile. Whether it was a simple request or something more specific, the team responded quickly and efficiently, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. The parking facility is managed by a third party, but guests enjoy a daily credit of up to $100—great value for those driving in. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the property; everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Overall, this was a relaxing, luxurious escape in the heart of Beijing. Rosewood Beijing

Celebrating New Year's Day at Rosewood Beijing was the perfect way to start the year. With chilly weather outside, staying put in this luxurious hotel felt like a dream. I’ve always admired Rosewood’s design aesthetic, and this stay didn’t disappoint—the executive suite might not be huge, but the view from the windows is absolutely unbeatable. Even the little touches, like my initials embroidered on the pillowcase, made the experience feel personal and special. The executive lounge exceeded expectations—both the food quality and service were outstanding, easily among the best I’ve experienced in China. And then there’s the pool: even in winter, it feels like stepping into a serene greenhouse garden. Calm, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful—hands down, one of the most stunning pools in Beijing. A true gem.

The PuXuan Hotel and Spa

Staying at The PuXuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing was a delightful experience overall. The room size was just right—not too cramped, not overly spacious—and being just steps from the metro made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The twin beds were slightly smaller than expected, but the mattress was so comfortable that I slept like a baby. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the eggs—perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior and soft center. However, the wonton soup could use more depth in flavor. Adding some rice noodles or vermicelli dishes, maybe even a spicy beef noodle option, would be a great addition to the menu. Despite minor room for improvement, the hospitality, location, and value for money made this stay truly memorable. I’d definitely come back here on my next trip to Beijing!

Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center

Every weekend, I look forward to unwinding with a little peace and quiet—just me, a good book, and a break from the daily grind. Lately, my go-to has been the Executive Room at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center, and it’s quickly become my cherished weekend ritual. Sure, the room is more compact compared to other luxury hotels, but the view of the Liangma River from the window makes every moment feel special—so serene, so picturesque, I can’t help but linger by the window. The highlight? The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner. The food is exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and far beyond what you’d expect at many five-star properties. On New Year’s Day, I was delighted to see service staff Feng Xiangchao again. He remembered my preference for warm dishes and kindly heated up the seafood before serving—such thoughtful attention to detail. The next day, another team member, He Xu, took time to recommend the best desserts and gently reminded parents to watch the kids—small things that show how genuinely care about guests’ comfort. During dinner, I met a couple with their child, who shared they also make it a habit to visit a luxury hotel every weekend. After trying several places, they keep coming back to Kempinski—not just for the food or rooms, but because of the warmth, the genuine hospitality, and that sense of home. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a sanctuary. A place where stress melts away, and memories are made. This year, we’ve already booked our Lunar New Year stay. Can’t wait to return and relive that feeling all over again.
