Aquarela do Leme

This was my first time staying at a hostel in Rio, and it’s been an absolutely fantastic experience so far. The place is spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with a warm, welcoming vibe from the moment I arrived. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful—always ready to offer tips on local attractions, transportation, or even just a chat. It’s perfectly located; I could walk to the nearest bus stop in just a few minutes, making getting around the city super easy. The rooftop lounge area is a real highlight—spacious, relaxed, and full of comfy spots to sit, work on my laptop, or just enjoy the views. Whether you’re traveling solo or looking to meet new people, this hostel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, convenience, and community. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rio!

The atmosphere is calm and welcoming—natural bamboo decor gives the place a peaceful, eco-friendly vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great local tips and even assisting with transportation arrangements. My room was compact but clean, well-maintained, and had excellent air conditioning. I slept like a baby every night. What really stood out was the value—affordable price, high comfort, and genuine hospitality. Gaia Hostel

We stayed here for seven nights and it was flawless from start to finish. We booked both a private room and a shared dorm, and every experience was excellent. The rooms and common areas were always spotlessly clean—really pleasant to be in. Hot water was available every single night, which is a big plus. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming with constant smiles. We absolutely loved spending our week here! The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the metro station. Being right in the heart of the city makes getting around effortless, whether you're heading into the downtown area or the beaches (by car or bike). The photos on the website are completely accurate—no exaggeration at all. This place truly delivers on everything it promises. A top choice for travelers looking for comfort, cleanliness, and great value.

Tupiniquim Hostel Rio de Janeiro

The hostel is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to get around Rio. However, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We had to ask permission every time we wanted to store or retrieve items from the shared fridge—repeated requests made it incredibly inconvenient. In the morning, we needed our breakfast supplies right away, but were forced to wait two hours because the owner refused to let us access our things until the cleaner arrived, even though it was just one floor up. When I went to get my stuff, the owner became angry, yelled at me, and used a disrespectful term I won’t repeat. At that point, we left immediately. While the location is good and prices are reasonable, the lack of basic respect and poor communication completely ruined our stay. Not worth it.

He went above and beyond by sharing personalized recommendations on local attractions and hidden gems around Rio. What stood out the most was being able to store our luggage before check-in—perfect for exploring the beachfront or grabbing a drink nearby without rushing. It made our arrival so much more relaxed and enjoyable. From start to finish, this was an outstanding experience. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Rio!

The staff, especially Pedro and the team at reception, were incredibly helpful and friendly—they went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The garden is serene and beautifully maintained, offering a quiet retreat right in the heart of the neighborhood. My room was clean, cozy, and well-appointed, making it a true home away from home. Every detail reflects care and attention. If you're visiting Rio, this hostel is a must-stay—truly deserving of a 10/10. I’ll definitely be back!

Her home is cozy, clean, and full of charm, and she greets you like family. She’s incredibly helpful, offering practical tips and local insights that made exploring the city so much easier. The breakfast is fantastic—fresh, generous, and delicious. Plus, it’s super easy to get around Rio from here: just a short walk or quick ride to beaches, attractions, and vibrant neighborhoods. Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

The hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the airport, perfectly situated between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. Just step outside, cross the street, and you're right on the sand—fine, soft sand that feels like magic beach powder under your feet. Every staff member we met was incredibly polite and genuinely warm, always greeting guests with a smile. The pool area is stunning, and the view from outside—where mountains meet the ocean—is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. We spent two full days just relaxing by the pool and on the beach, doing nothing but soaking in the vibe. We checked in early and were initially assigned a sea-view room at the end of the building, but my husband wanted something better, so we switched rooms twice before landing on a great one. It was worth the effort. The only downside? The price is steep—nearly $400 per night—but honestly, given the location, service, and overall experience, it’s not unreasonable. It’s just hard on the wallet when you’re budget-conscious!

Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort

Staying at this resort felt like a true getaway. The private beach access is a game-changer—just step outside and you're right on the sand with stunning ocean views. It's well-located, just a short ride from downtown Rio, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. The amenities are impressive: multiple pools (indoor and outdoor), tennis courts, and a dedicated kids’ play area that kept my children entertained all day. Despite being a luxury hotel, the price feels very reasonable—excellent value for money. The only minor downside? The sound of waves can be a bit loud if you're sensitive to noise, so I’d recommend requesting a room farther from the beach side or on a higher floor. Overall, an outstanding experience—comfortable, well-maintained, and perfect for families or couples looking for relaxation with great convenience.
