The Milton Brisbane

Staying at The Milton Brisbane was a pleasant surprise—spacious rooms with a cozy, home-like vibe that felt more like a boutique stay than a standard hotel. While the overall cleanliness isn’t quite up to the level of a luxury hotel, the bedding was clean and comfortable, which is what matters most. There were minor stains on the sofa, but nothing that detracted from the experience. What stood out was how well-equipped the room was—kitchenette essentials like a kettle, microwave, and basic cookware made self-catering easy. The location is unbeatable: just a 1-minute walk to the train station, making commutes to the airport or Gold Coast incredibly convenient. Just a heads-up—front desk isn’t open 24/7, so if you’re arriving late, be sure to contact the hotel in advance. Overall, it’s a great choice for travelers who value space, convenience, and a relaxed atmosphere without breaking the bank.

Lovely 2 Beds Apt with City View at South Brisbane

This experience was extremely disappointing. The listing appeared to be associated with a legitimate hotel based on the address shown, but it turned out to be completely unrelated. When we arrived, check-in wasn’t possible because the contact number provided was disconnected. We even called the phone number linked to the listed address, only to find no reservation under our name. In a rush, my family and I had to book another place last minute—losing both time and money. The platform continued to demand a $300 deposit despite already taking our payment. There’s no accountability from the provider, and support has been unhelpful. I’ve reported the fraudulent transaction to my bank (Commonwealth Bank of Australia), but they keep asking for more documents, even though we’ve already submitted everything. This situation left us frustrated and misled. I won’t use this service again and strongly advise others to avoid it.

LyLo Brisbane

I stayed here solo and was genuinely impressed by the vibe and comfort of LyLo Brisbane. My roommates were polite, quiet, and respectful—way better than any hostel I’ve experienced in Japan. We had a private bathroom for four people, plus soundproof pods that made sleeping incredibly peaceful. The location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute walk to both the metro and train station, making it super easy to explore Brisbane. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. Everything about this place—from cleanliness to convenience—feels thoughtfully designed. It’s not just affordable; it’s an excellent value for the quality. I’d definitely come back here on my next trip to Brisbane.

Grove Manor

Staying at Grove Manor was an absolute delight from start to finish. The house itself is stunning—well-maintained, cozy, and filled with that warm, homely charm that makes you feel instantly at ease. The bed was incredibly comfortable, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. I especially loved the peaceful veranda, where I’d spend mornings sipping coffee while enjoying the quiet surroundings. The hosts, Fiona and Trevor, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They even gave us great local tips! Conveniently located just a short walk from a bus stop, the number 61 runs every 10 minutes and connects straight to major city attractions—ideal for exploring Brisbane without needing a car. Everything about this stay was top-notch, and I can’t recommend it enough. A truly memorable experience.
