Staying at Xiyu Designer Guesthouse was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and the lively Muslim Quarter. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful, making check-in a breeze. What truly made the stay special were the adorable cats and dogs living on-site—names like Wuyi, Yuanyuan, and Wan Yuanhu—perfect little companions to hang out with during downtime. The space itself is beautifully designed, clean, and full of character. I felt right at home. If I ever return to Xi'an, this will be my first choice again. I signed up for a bike-sharing card right on-site, which made exploring the city so convenient. Riding through the streets of Xi'an felt like a true adventure. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and housekeeping came by daily to keep everything clean and fresh. It’s clear they care about guest comfort. This place offers excellent value for money and truly feels like home away from home. Highly recommended!

Best of all, we were upgraded to a higher room type at no extra cost, and the staff took us to view three different rooms before we chose our favorite. That level of personal attention really stood out. The room itself was spotless and well-equipped: clean disposable toilet seat covers, thick towels and bathrobes, soft slippers, and high-quality branded toiletries. Plus, the location is fantastic—just a short walk from local night markets and some great barbecue spots. Everything was convenient, comfortable, and thoughtfully done. I’d definitely come back here on my next trip to Xi’an!

The hostess was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond by helping with luggage, offering personalized recommendations for local food spots and hidden gems, and promptly resolving any concerns. She even gifted us a small handmade souvenir—a thoughtful touch that made our stay feel extra special. This place offers incredible value and warmth, making it more than just a place to sleep. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xi'an!
Xi'an Yingxugang Hotel B&B
Our first night was at a hotel near Tang Paradise for around $400, but the cleanliness was so poor it left a bad taste in my mouth—terrible experience. On day two, we decided to switch accommodations and stumbled upon this little gem while searching online. It was newly renovated in 2024, and with no real expectations, I booked one night on a whim. What a pleasant surprise! The place is small but immaculately clean—every corner felt fresh and well-maintained. The owner was incredibly warm and helpful, giving us local food tips and showing us the quickest routes to nearby attractions. Located right next to Xiaonanmen Gate, we enjoyed the morning market from 7 to 9 AM, grabbing fresh fruit early before heading out. Just six meters from the door, you’re at the Wumu Gate ticket booth—perfect for a morning visit to the city wall. In the evening, we bought tickets and rented bikes near Ningyuan Gate. We rode partway around the wall and were amazed by how big it actually is—ended up riding for over two hours! If you don’t want to go all the way, just return your bike at Zhongshan Gate and walk down to Yongxingfang—it’s literally right there. We also visited the area at night and had a great time exploring. The property is only a 15–20 minute walk to Muslim Quarter, Bell Tower, and Drum Tower. Around the neighborhood, there are plenty of late-night street food stalls and lively bars. For our trip to Terracotta Warriors, we took a shared ride via Shunfeng—only $42 total for two people—cheaper than the group bus ($30 per person). After that, we stayed here for the rest of our trip. The location, cleanliness, service, and value truly made this stay unforgettable.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any request. But the real highlight? The resident cat! So sweet and affectionate—would greet guests with gentle head bumps and curl up on the sofa like it owned the place. It added such a warm, welcoming touch to the whole experience. If you're looking for a charming, authentic stay in Xi'an with great value and a personal touch, this place is a must-try.
Gentlemen International Hotel
Staying at Gentlemen International Hotel was a great experience overall. The room was spacious and well-designed, offering plenty of comfort and a nice sense of openness. Its location near Sajin Bridge Metro Station made getting around the city incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the station. I especially loved the outdoor breakfast setup; it had a relaxed vibe with fresh, delicious food—my highlight was the hot congee and freshly baked bread, which tasted fantastic. That said, I did have two small suggestions: the ¥100 deposit for the umbrella seems a bit high for such a small item, and it might be worth reconsidering. Also, no one at the front desk asked if I was driving, which is something I’d expect from a higher-end hotel—proactively offering parking information or assistance would make the stay even more seamless. These are minor points, but with a perfect 10/10 rating, this hotel is already very close to excellence. Just a few thoughtful touches could make it truly outstanding.

They even helped carry our bags up to the room, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was spotless, with every detail well-maintained and clean. Its location is unbeatable: we walked everywhere—Bell Tower, City Wall, and Huimin Street—all within minutes. Even at night, seeing people still waiting for rides made me appreciate how smart it was to stay so close to all the action. Easy access, great cleanliness, and amazing convenience. This place delivers on every level. Definitely coming back.
