I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when I first saw the building—it’s tucked inside a residential complex with a slightly worn-out exterior and old elevator. But stepping into the room completely changed my mind. The space is spacious, the natural light floods in, and there’s even a washing machine—perfect for longer stays. The interior design is stylish and Instagram-worthy, making it feel way more premium than its price tag suggests. Location-wise? Unbeatable. It's just a 15-minute walk to May Fourth Square and only 5 minutes to Wanda Plaza—shopping, dining, everything at your doorstep. And right downstairs? A whole row of amazing local eateries—grilled skewers, beef noodle soup, dumplings, potstickers, and even a 7-Eleven. We couldn’t resist trying the street-side barbecue on our first night—it was delicious and so authentic! The host is incredibly friendly and responsive. No front desk, but any request or issue was handled promptly and warmly. The only minor downside? There was some construction noise from above during the day and evening, which can be a bit disruptive. But honestly, staying in a real residential building gives you such a genuine local vibe—feels like living like a true Qingdao resident for a while. That unique experience actually makes the stay more memorable.

The front desk staff went above and beyond by upgrading me to a sea view room—though it wasn’t on the highest floor, the ocean views were still stunning and made the stay very enjoyable. The fitness center has well-maintained equipment, and although I didn’t get a chance to swim due to time constraints, the pool looked clean and inviting. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Haixin Plaza, making shopping and dining super convenient. I especially want to thank the friendly front desk agent who checked me in (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name) and Jennifer at check-out for her exceptional attention to detail—she even helped extend my checkout time without hassle. The service, comfort, and location all exceeded expectations. This is definitely a hotel I’d recommend and return to.

Winnie Xiao Li, the guest relations officer, sent daily morning messages with helpful tips and reminders, always ready to assist via WeChat. Any concerns were addressed promptly and clearly, making everything feel effortless. They even noticed how important hydration is when traveling, so they delivered plenty of bottled water throughout our stay — no more dry mouth or discomfort. Since our train back was in the evening, they kindly extended our check-out time, giving us extra time to enjoy swimming and dining without rushing. When it came time to leave, our luggage was already packed and waiting, perfectly synced with our ride-hailing service — seamless and stress-free. The housekeeping staff, especially Yan Shuya, showed incredible attention to detail — she noticed I like using hand cream and left a small premium bottle just for me. That kind of personal touch really stood out. At the 7th-floor infinity pool, lifeguard Zhao Chunyang was not only professional and safety-conscious but also took great photos for us — friendly and reliable. The breakfast staff in the 1988 All-Day Dining restaurant were cheerful and efficient, moving quickly between tables during peak hours while keeping things clean and welcoming. Their double-sided table signs (showing 'occupied' and 'available') prevented any awkward moments when grabbing food. The fruit bar was constantly replenished by staff who monitored usage and freshened up the display on the spot — absolutely impressive. The hotel’s location is unbeatable: walking distance to Wusi Square, Olympic Sailing Center, and the famous Badaguan scenic area. A short taxi ride gets you to Qingdao Railway Station within 15 minutes. Around the hotel, there are tons of great local eateries — both in Hai Tian Mall and GT Plaza — all offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The rooms were spacious, bright, and beautifully laid out, with stunning sea and city views. American Egris bath amenities added a touch of luxury. The lobby is grand and modern, and the 7th-floor infinity pool offers breathtaking ocean vistas — perfect for relaxing while enjoying the view. Overall, this stay exceeded every expectation.
