It feels like a quiet retreat in the middle of nature, with breathtaking night lighting that adds such a magical touch—definitely reminiscent of a Beverly Hills estate but even more peaceful. The villa section offers excellent privacy; guests enter via shuttle and need a code to access the area, which gives a real sense of exclusivity. Room cleanliness was top-notch—the housekeeping staff were attentive and greeted us warmly upon arrival, and any requests were handled promptly and kindly. The lounge afternoon tea setup is stunning, and despite being fully booked during the holiday period and having limited staff, the team still managed to seat us comfortably and deliver coffee without delay—truly commendable effort under pressure. Breakfast was a highlight too, especially the pancake station where the server was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s clear the hotel values long-term employees—many have been with them for nearly a decade, reflecting a caring, stable work culture. Since we were traveling with an 83-year-old, convenience and comfort were top priorities—especially easy access to public transit and rooms with two queen beds. After checking several options, the Sheraton Xiamen on Jiahua Road stood out as the ideal choice. It’s just a short walk from two metro stations, and there are bus stops nearby for easy access to various destinations. SM City Plaza is within walking distance—great for dining and shopping. Special thanks to Jerry for upgrading us to a quieter room at the end of the corridor; it was peaceful and noise-free, which made for excellent rest, especially for our elderly family members. Our booking included breakfast for two, but Jerry kindly arranged an extra breakfast for my grandmother—delicious and well-balanced, with authentic local flavors that changed slightly each day. The bathroom design was exceptional: spacious, functional, and completely leak-proof—a rare find! My mom and I were both truly impressed. This stay exceeded expectations in every way.

We arrived on a rainy day and were pleasantly surprised when the host upgraded us to a better room for free—since another guest had canceled their booking. The lobby is spacious and welcoming, with a long table perfect for working or relaxing, plus a microwave available for guests’ convenience. On a sunny day, sitting in the backyard with a cup of tea would be absolutely ideal. The room itself was spotless and beautifully designed with a minimalist, modern touch. Everything you’d need was provided: shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, towels, bath sheets, hairdryer, electric kettle—all thoughtfully included. The water heater delivered strong, consistent hot water, making showers very comfortable. We even got plastic slippers for use in the bathroom. The bed was incredibly cozy, and we slept like babies. Even though it was raining during our stay, lying in bed listening to the gentle sound of rain tapping against the balcony window was oddly peaceful. There were few other guests around, so the place felt quiet and intimate. While the property isn’t right next to a metro station, getting there by taxi or bus was easy and convenient. Unfortunately, we couldn’t explore the neighborhood due to the weather, but I’ll definitely come back if I visit Xiamen again. This place offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, charm, and value—highly recommend!

The room quality rivals that of established luxury options like Lujing Hotel, but at a fraction of the price. My first visit? I originally booked another hotel nearby, but when I arrived and saw the worn-out exterior, I immediately canceled. Later, I passed by this property and noticed the clean, modern look, so I decided to check in. The staff were incredibly welcoming—they personally showed me through several room types, which helped ease my concerns. Their genuine hospitality made all the difference. Stayed at Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza) and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious—far bigger than expected for the price—and everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The new front desk staff member, Yu Ni, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even when we weren’t sure how to ask our questions, she patiently guided us through everything. Location is excellent too—just a short walk from Xiamen Railway Station and surrounded by great dining options. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Xiamen!
