I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw the photos online—thought it might be an older-style hotel—but the reality totally exceeded my expectations. The decor has a vintage charm with a strong artistic vibe, and even though it’s not brand new, everything feels clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless, and I appreciated the complimentary travel-sized toiletries—much more convenient than the large bottles some hotels offer. What really stood out were the original artworks lining the hallways; they’re not just prints but genuine pieces that add character to the space. The shared lounge on the second floor is beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing. Overall, the experience was fantastic. I’ll definitely consider staying here again if I ever visit Dalian.
Staying at Riyueming Hotel · Select (Gorky Road, Dalian 967 Hospital) was a fantastic experience. The facilities are well-maintained and thoughtfully provided—right when we checked in, the front desk handed us a small bag of complimentary toiletries, which was a nice touch. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with a standard layout that felt both spacious and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond: friendly, efficient, and even upgraded our room for free—a pleasant surprise! They also made it super easy to receive food deliveries by providing a designated area at the front desk, so no worries about missing your order. The location is convenient, close to public transit, and overall, the value for money is excellent. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and will be back.
I booked this hotel well in advance, and I’m so glad I did—everything exceeded my expectations. The property features a charming little garden with a friendly cat, and to my surprise, they even have peacocks and parrots! Breakfast was a real highlight—I could enjoy my meal by the window while watching the peacocks stroll around. The location is excellent: I followed the navigation to Zhongshan Square and found it easy to get there. Friendly Plaza is nearby, and taking Line 5 to Qingniwaqiao Exit H2 puts you right next to the shopping complex. The first floor has an amazing array of local eats—every time I stayed here for three nights, I made it a point to go back for more: steamed buns, squid, skewers—each one delicious. The staff were warm and attentive throughout. While some rooms on the 6th floor of Building B require walking up and down stairs, it’s not a hassle at all. Plus, the building has a fire station on the ground floor, which gives a real sense of security. Overall, fantastic value, great atmosphere, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Dalian.
We stayed at Riyueming Hotel (Dalian Railway Station Youhao Square) during the off-season with a few friends, and the experience was truly memorable. The TV remote wasn’t very responsive, but the front desk staff were incredibly attentive—they immediately came over to replace the batteries without hesitation. My friend had heavy luggage, and the owner even offered to carry it upstairs—such a warm, personal touch that really stood out. Despite its long history, the hotel feels fresh and well-maintained, with excellent cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: just steps from the subway station, super convenient for ordering food delivery or exploring nearby spots. The area is packed with great local eats—especially the Japanese restaurants and those amazing meat-filled buns we couldn’t resist trying. Everything was delicious, affordable, and close by. For the quality, price, and service, this place earns every point. Definitely coming back.
Staying at New World Dalian Hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed—with a standalone bathtub that made for a relaxing soak after a long day. All the bathroom amenities were from Marlin Doggo, which added a nice touch with their fresh scent and high-quality feel. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly—especially one blonde girl with a side-swept fringe who had such a cheerful attitude, and another with dark hair and big eyes who was just as warm and helpful. The housekeeping staff in room 1811 stood out too—she greeted me every time I left the room, kept everything spotless, and even offered genuine recommendations on fun spots around Dalian. After breakfast, walking back into a perfectly tidy room felt like a small daily treat. The breakfast spread was fantastic—huge variety, with both Western and local options covered. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking the bustling city lights and catching glimpses of the sea in the distance. Plus, the hotel’s location is unbeatable—right next to a high-end shopping mall and super accessible for public transit. If I ever come back to Dalian, this will be my first choice without hesitation. A truly memorable stay.
We had an absolutely wonderful family stay at Shangri-La Hotel Dalian, and I can confidently say it was one of the best kid-friendly hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The children’s themed room was a hit—colorful, playful, and packed with fun details that instantly delighted our little ones. From themed toiletries to small toys, every touch showed genuine thoughtfulness. Our kids were entertained for hours, thanks to the excellent in-house play areas—perfect for burning off energy without any stress. As adults, we also appreciated the beautifully maintained indoor pool with clear, warm water—ideal for relaxing after a long day. The service truly stood out too: special thanks to Yina for her warm, attentive hospitality, always ready to help; and the housekeeping staff who kept the room spotless and welcoming. The location is fantastic—close to the waterfront but still convenient for city exploration. With top-tier amenities, thoughtful family services, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, this hotel lives up to its five-star reputation. We’ll definitely be returning when we come back to Dalian with the kids.
Staying at Furama Hotel Dalian was an absolute highlight of my trip to Dalian. As the first five-star hotel in Northeast China, it’s impressive how well-preserved and vibrant this property remains after all these years. The room was spotless, with crisp, comfortable bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. The ground-floor mall is well-stocked with a wide variety of goods—perfect for picking up souvenirs or everyday essentials. The pool water temperature was just right, and the hot tub was a real treat for unwinding after a long day. I especially want to commend the front desk staff, Xu Qingsong from the pool and sauna area, and swimming instructor Bao Xin—their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly stood out. They went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience. From the ambiance to the service, every aspect felt premium. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dalian.
Staying at the InterContinental Dalian was an absolutely delightful experience. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from Dalian Station, making it incredibly convenient for both arrivals and departures. The room itself was spotless and thoughtfully designed. The hairdryer was powerful with minimal noise and dried my hair in no time—perfect for early mornings or last-minute touch-ups. The air conditioning was whisper-quiet, which was a game-changer for me as someone who struggles with sleep due to noise sensitivity. I also loved the robot delivery service—it added a fun, futuristic touch to the stay and made getting snacks or essentials super easy. The only minor drawbacks were the slightly awkward bathroom latch and the sink faucet, which took a bit of fiddling to get the right temperature. But honestly, these were just small details in an otherwise outstanding stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, the comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality made this hotel stand out. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to return.
I recently stayed at Kempinski Hotel Dalian and was thoroughly impressed—this place truly delivers on comfort, location, and service. The hotel has just refreshed its brand experience, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. Located right next to Dasha Department Store, it’s incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. I could reach a variety of great local restaurants within just 5 to 10 minutes on foot—perfect for exploring the city without hassle. My room was assigned by Cathy, and I couldn’t be happier. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and had a calming atmosphere that made my stay even more relaxing. The only minor issue was the pillow—I found it a bit too firm—but when I mentioned it to the front desk, they immediately replaced it with a softer one. That kind of responsiveness speaks volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, this is a top-tier hotel with exceptional value. I’ll definitely be back.
This stay exceeded all my expectations! I have to give a special shoutout to the front desk staff, Sally and Xiao Miao—check-in was quick and seamless, and their friendly service made me feel right at home. They even recommended some fantastic local eateries nearby and gave clear walking directions, which was incredibly helpful. The room might be a bit dated, but it’s super comfortable and well-maintained. Plus, the four brand-new elevators (by Mitsubishi!) run smoothly and give you peace of mind. Location-wise, it’s perfect—just steps from the metro and bus stops, making getting around town a breeze. For the comfort, convenience, and value, this hotel is a standout. I’ll definitely be coming back to Dalian and choosing this one again.
I finally met our amazing concierge Maggie right at checkout, and honestly, her service made the entire stay unforgettable. From day one, she checked in daily—asking if we needed anything replenished, if everything was to our satisfaction. On our last day, she even offered to extend our check-out time without hesitation. What really stood out? When I mentioned the air felt a bit dry, she proactively added a humidifier to the room. Then, just before leaving, she asked again if the humidity level was comfortable—such thoughtful attention to detail. The hotel itself is spotless, with well-maintained facilities and a serene atmosphere. Every corner feels cared for, from the spacious rooms to the elegant common areas. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality that goes beyond expectations. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet personal experience in Dalian, this place delivers. 10/10, highly recommend.
I was a bit hesitant about staying at this older hotel, worried it might feel outdated. But I'm happy to say the service more than makes up for any aging amenities. On check-in day, Miriam from guest relations called me personally to ask about my room preferences—she recommended the ocean-view room, and wow, the view is absolutely stunning. I paid a little extra for the upgrade, but honestly, it was totally worth it. Since it was off-season, I was able to check in by noon—no waiting around. Bella at the front desk was so friendly and gave me a thorough overview of the hotel and nearby attractions. Yes, the facilities aren’t as modern as brand-new properties, but the personal touch and consistent hospitality truly stand out. It’s clear they prioritize guest experience over flashy upgrades. A comfortable, well-located stay with excellent service—definitely recommend for travelers who value warmth and reliability.
