Secc Hydro Executive 7 Apartment

I stayed here in June 2022 during a trip to Scotland, and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The property is essentially a collection of apartments located in an aging building situated in a less desirable part of Glasgow. My unit didn’t match the photos shown on the platform at all—I brought this up, and was told the images were from other units. The windows wouldn’t close properly, letting in constant street noise from the busy road outside. Up close, the place looked dirty and clearly lacked proper maintenance. Overall, I regret choosing this accommodation and believe I could have found a better option for the price.

Best Western Glasgow Hotel

Staying near Glasgow University? This hotel is a perfect choice! The room was surprisingly spacious—three of us easily unpacked two 28-inch suitcases without feeling cramped, and the luggage storage service made our arrival and departure super smooth. Located just steps away from campus, it’s ideal for students or visitors exploring the city. There’s a convenient supermarket and several great dining options within walking distance, plus a peaceful park nearby where I enjoyed a relaxing evening stroll. Everything you need is right at your doorstep. The location, comfort, and value are outstanding. If you’re looking for a stress-free, central base in Glasgow with easy access to everything, this place delivers every single time. Highly recommend!

Babbity Bowster

We stayed overnight in Glasgow before catching our flight back home, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel is centrally located—walking distance to the subway, making travel to the airport or to Celtic Park super convenient. Guests get access to a limited parking zone, which worked out well for us. The on-site restaurant served both breakfast and dinner with great quality and a cozy atmosphere. But what truly stood out was the staff. From the friendly check-in guy to Harry, who served our breakfast the next morning, everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Harry even gave us some thoughtful recommendations for things to see along the way to the stadium and airport—so much appreciated! The whole experience felt personal and welcoming. If we ever return to Glasgow, this would be our first pick again.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Number 52 Charlotte Street! The property is in excellent condition—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Located in a quiet yet convenient area of Glasgow, it's just steps away from a bus stop right in front, making transit super easy. I appreciated how close it was to downtown attractions without the noise or hassle of being in the middle of everything. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful too. For the price, this place offers incredible value. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow.

Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa

Absolutely worth every penny! We stayed here during a business trip with our kids for a long weekend, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always thinking ahead. They even helped keep the kids entertained when we were swamped with work, which felt like having a personal concierge. The spa is a real highlight: spacious, beautifully renovated a few years ago, and free for guests twice daily—perfect for unwinding. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety, generous portions, and if you asked for something off-menu (within reason), they’d happily cook it fresh. Dinner was also impressive, with elegant plating and a Michelin-inspired touch, though the portion sizes were on the larger side—left us full but not quite satisfied in terms of hunger. Still, the quality and experience were top-notch. Whether you're traveling for work or family fun, this hotel delivers an unforgettable stay.

Virgin Hotels Glasgow

I'm a big fan of Virgin Hotels and have stayed at both the Glasgow and Edinburgh locations. While Glasgow's property feels more modern in terms of structure, the room design still stands out as uniquely clever—some of the smartest layouts I've seen in any hotel right now. The entire stay was enjoyable from start to finish, with great attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere. I truly hope Virgin continues expanding across Europe—London would be an obvious next step, and even warmer destinations like Barcelona could be a fantastic fit. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant in Glasgow this time, but I did enjoy the Commons Club in Edinburgh—it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re there.

DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central

The service was excellent—friendly and helpful staff from check-in onward. I asked about the pool location near my room, and a staff member kindly walked me downstairs to show me where it was. It’s actually tucked away and not easy to find without guidance! The parking entrance is at the back of the main building, with plenty of space—no stress finding a spot. Best of all, the hotel’s location is unbeatable: everything—from top attractions and restaurants to shopping centers—is just a short walk away. No need for taxis or public transit. voco Grand Central Glasgow

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The building has a timeless charm with a touch of vintage elegance, but the interior design is modern and beautifully crafted—especially the staircase area, which makes for an amazing photo spot. Located right next to Central Station, it’s incredibly convenient for getting around Glasgow, yet the rooms are so quiet when the windows are closed that you’d never know you’re in the middle of a busy transit hub. It’s peaceful, stylish, and offers incredible value—definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in the city. Would book again without hesitation.
