The hotel faces the ancient city wall directly, and it’s only about a 1.7-kilometer stroll to Yongning Gate if you want to walk along the wall—a pleasant way to enjoy the historic surroundings. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a larger room, which made a big difference: spacious enough to comfortably unpack and move around, and ideal for family travel. Cleanliness was spot-on, meeting standard expectations without any issues. One minor drawback is the parking situation—being a multi-level garage, it’s not the most user-friendly, especially for larger vehicles, though my compact car navigated it easily. Breakfast was decent but not particularly impressive by luxury hotel standards—nothing overly elaborate, and we didn’t receive a third breakfast for our parents, which was slightly disappointing since this was one of only two hotels on the entire trip that didn’t offer it. The front desk concierge absolutely deserves a huge shoutout! Their service was exceptional—not only did they proactively help with our luggage, but they also took the time to warmly guide us through the hotel’s dining options, opening hours, and nearby shopping areas. It felt so personal and thoughtful. The room itself was cozy and beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean with all amenities in perfect working order. From the comfortable bed to the quiet ambiance, it made for a truly relaxing stay. Every little detail was considered, making the entire experience unforgettable. I’ve already recommended this hotel to friends and will definitely be back.

Staying at HERMITAGE was truly one of the most immersive experiences I've had in Xi'an. Just a 2-minute walk to the Tang Paradise Night Market, where vibrant lights and lively energy greet you outside, while inside, it's all calm and serenity — a peaceful courtyard with red walls, bamboo groves, and authentic Tang Dynasty-inspired design. The rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, perfect for sunset moments. My room was uniquely designed, incredibly comfortable with soft bedding, and the little touches like complimentary Shaanxi tea and fresh seasonal fruit made me feel genuinely cared for. The 24-hour concierge service was responsive and helpful anytime I needed anything. Breakfast featured delicious local Shaanxi snacks, and even late-night bites were thoughtfully provided. It’s rare to find such a high level of comfort, authenticity, and value in one place. This solo trip gave me the perfect balance of culture, relaxation, and discovery.
