Staying at Novotel Auckland Ellerslie was a fantastic experience—perfect for families! The room was spacious with two generous 1.6-meter beds, making it ideal for a family of four (two adults and two kids). One of the highlights was being able to order breakfast right in the room—warm, delicious meals delivered straight to us without having to leave the comfort of our space. It saved so much time and added a real touch of convenience. I also appreciated the self-service laundry and drying facilities; grabbing tokens at the front desk was simple and super practical, especially when traveling with multiple outfits or needing to freshen up mid-stay. The hotel is quiet, well-maintained, and located just a short ride from the city center via public transport. With such great value, excellent service, and a homey feel, this place truly stands out. I’d definitely book here again.
Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre
We had a wonderful weekend family getaway in Auckland, and choosing Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre through the platform was one of our best decisions. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Sylvia Park shopping area, making it super convenient for dining out and picking up essentials with kids. I booked the most budget-friendly twin room, but it was surprisingly spacious and came with a bathtub. The view from the window was stunning—sitting by the window with my daughter enjoying afternoon tea while watching the sun rise was such a peaceful moment. The hotel sits right beside a beautiful lake, and just a few minutes’ walk leads to a lovely lakeside playground where our little one could run around and burn off energy—definitely helped her sleep better that night. Breakfast is served in a lakeside buffet setting with great views. While the variety isn’t on par with high-end hotels back home, it’s actually quite generous considering the price point. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, toast, and coffee—all satisfyingly good. Overall, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, staff are friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and relaxing. A real hidden gem in Auckland, and I’d definitely come back.

Staying at Parnell Pines Hotel was a pleasant surprise overall. The front-facing cafe is now closed, and there’s no formal reception area—just a simple key drop—but the hotel itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. We were really impressed by how peaceful it was, especially considering its location in central Auckland. The beds were comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Parking was an issue though—the designated spots are extremely tight, with some requiring a 15-point turn to enter or exit. It felt more hassle than it was worth, but thankfully, street parking and nearby lots are plentiful and free. With that in mind, the convenience of the location still makes up for the parking challenges. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely consider returning.

I only had a day in Auckland and needed a place to store my bags while going for a run. This is my third stay at Gamma Hotel, and I’m still thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless and well-maintained—cleanliness is clearly a priority here. I especially appreciate the small kitchenette; while compact, it’s extremely clean and rarely used by other guests, making it ideal for preparing your own meals. A quick trip to a nearby supermarket lets you pick up fresh ingredients and enjoy a change of pace from eating out. Public transit access is also excellent—getting around the city is seamless. For comfort, convenience, and value, this hotel truly delivers. I’ll definitely be back.
