Our room (Room 1) was spacious and beautifully appointed: the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the huge bathroom featured a stunning rolltop tub that made for perfect relaxation. Coffee and tea are available anytime—perfect for early mornings or late-night cravings. Location is fantastic—just a short walk to town, great restaurants, and the waterfront, where you can easily catch a boat to Waiheke Island. It’s a dreamy escape for nature lovers and city explorers alike. Truly a standout stay.
Peace & Plenty Inn
I was really disappointed with my stay at Peace & Plenty Inn in Auckland. The property used to have a peaceful, green atmosphere, but the owner removed nearly every tree around the house—front, back, and sides—leaving behind a barren, lifeless space. It's heartbreaking to see such a once-beautiful spot stripped of its natural charm. The owner seems completely indifferent to neighbors and the surrounding environment, showing no regard for sustainability or community harmony. I can't believe someone would prioritize personal preference over preserving green spaces in an urban area. While the location is decent and the price is fair, the lack of respect for nature and the neighborhood makes this experience far from enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values peace, greenery, or responsible hosting.

It saved so much time and added a real touch of convenience. I also appreciated the self-service laundry and drying facilities; grabbing tokens at the front desk was simple and super practical, especially when traveling with multiple outfits or needing to freshen up mid-stay. The hotel is quiet, well-maintained, and located just a short ride from the city center via public transport. With such great value, excellent service, and a homey feel, this place truly stands out. I’d definitely book here again.

The hotel sits right beside a beautiful lake, and just a few minutes’ walk leads to a lovely lakeside playground where our little one could run around and burn off energy—definitely helped her sleep better that night. Breakfast is served in a lakeside buffet setting with great views. While the variety isn’t on par with high-end hotels back home, it’s actually quite generous considering the price point. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, toast, and coffee—all satisfyingly good. Overall, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, staff are friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and relaxing. A real hidden gem in Auckland, and I’d definitely come back.

Located on a quiet street just steps from the university and a peaceful park, it’s both serene and incredibly convenient for exploring the city. If you’re after authenticity, comfort, and a touch of old-world charm, this is a must-try. Just be aware: if you expect modern amenities and full en-suite bathrooms, it might not match those expectations. But for a unique, heartfelt stay, it’s absolutely worth it.

The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with facilities like a kitchenette, laundry options, and comfortable seating—perfect for longer stays or self-catering. The overall environment is spotless and welcoming. However, one aspect stood out negatively: the front desk staff’s attitude during our check-out process. We had just left the room and needed to quickly return to store our luggage before heading into the city to pick up some souvenirs. There was no one else around, and we weren’t blocking anything—we were as quick and considerate as possible. Despite that, the staff reacted with clear impatience, rushing us with sharp tones and uninviting body language. It felt unnecessarily harsh, especially since we weren’t causing any disruption. A little more empathy and flexibility would have made a big difference in our experience. That said, the hotel’s comfort, location, and amenities still make it a solid choice. With better guest service, this could easily be a 10/10 stay.
