City Centro by Marriott Ciudad de México

We stayed at City Centro by Marriott in Mexico City for a holiday and were really impressed with the location—perfectly situated for exploring the city, with great access to public transit and nearby attractions. The staff were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to assist us throughout our visit. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long day of sightseeing. The only issue we encountered was with breakfast. We had booked a room with breakfast included, but the offerings were inconsistent over the three days. On day one, we received just a small piece of toast and a few pieces of fruit—barely enough for an adult. Day two, we were offered a full selection from the main menu, including various egg dishes, which felt much more appropriate. Then on day three, we were back to the minimal breakfast again, which was confusing since we’d expected consistency. Despite this mix-up, the overall experience was outstanding. The hotel’s service, comfort, and location made up for any minor hiccups. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

MyPlace at Santo Domingo

Staying at MyPlace at Santo Domingo was a fantastic experience! The location is perfect—right in the heart of Mexico City, just a short walk to metro stations, restaurants, and local shops. The place itself is clean, well-maintained, and stylishly designed with a modern touch. Even though the room isn’t huge, it’s thoughtfully laid out and super comfortable, especially the bed—great for a good night’s sleep. What really stood out was the value for money; you get so much more than expected for the price. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting Mexico City, and I’ll be back again.

Umbral, a Curio Collection by Hilton

The hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but overall it's a great stay. The lobby has a stylish design with a cozy vibe, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable—especially the bed, which made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. Even though it's not right in the city center, it's easy to get around via metro, and the value for money is excellent. Definitely considering coming back.

Hotel Zocalo Central

Staying at Hotel Zocalo Central was an absolute delight. The location couldn’t be better—right next to the Metropolitan Cathedral and Constitution Square, so exploring the heart of Mexico City was as easy as stepping outside. I loved the charming, vintage-inspired design of the hotel—it felt authentic and full of character. The rooms were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond with their hospitality. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. One highlight? Free snacks and drinks available throughout the day—such a nice touch! The only thing to note is that toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers aren’t provided, so it’s worth bringing your own. But honestly, that’s a small trade-off for such a fantastic experience. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a great vibe in the city center, this place is a must-book.

Gran Hotel Ciudad de México Zócalo View

Staying at this historic hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Mexico City. Housed in a beautifully restored 1890s shopping arcade, the building itself feels like stepping into another era—especially with the original elevator still running and the stunning stained-glass ceilings imported from France back then. The location is unbeatable: right on Zócalo Square, so every morning I could enjoy the flag-raising ceremony from my balcony—a truly unforgettable moment. What stood out most was the service. Every staff member—from front desk to concierge, housekeeping, and restaurant team—knew my name and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. It’s rare to find such personal attention combined with such rich history and charm. This place isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience. A true gem in the heart of the city, and one of the best values I’ve ever experienced.

Historico Central Hotel

Absolutely worth five stars! The only thing I’d suggest improving is the breakfast selection—it could be more generous, especially since this is a five-star hotel. One egg per person felt a bit sparse for such a high-end property. However, everything else was outstanding. The room was incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped. Unlimited water, plus complimentary snacks, coffee, and beverages throughout the day made it feel like a real treat. Location couldn’t be better—just a 5-minute walk to Constitution Square, surrounded by amazing dining options. The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved historic building with great character and charm. Staff at the front desk and business service were professional, friendly, and helpful—they even assisted me with bus tickets and communicated in Spanish when needed. Overall, an exceptional stay with excellent value and a memorable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Downtown Mexico

Paulina and Roberto stayed at this hotel and were impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. However, they noted that the bathroom was only separated by curtains, which felt a bit lacking in privacy—something they’d recommend improving. They also mentioned the room lighting was quite dim, making the space feel dark overall; upgrading the lighting would greatly enhance the ambiance. Despite these minor concerns, they appreciated the convenient downtown location and found the overall value to be excellent. A solid choice for travelers seeking a Design Hotels™ experience in Mexico City.

Hotel Catedral

Staying at Hotel Catedral was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with just a slightly small window—nothing that detracts from the overall charm. What truly sets this place apart is the lobby, which is built right over an ancient archaeological site. Walking through it feels like stepping into history, with the rich atmosphere of centuries-old culture surrounding you. Located just steps away from the Metropolitan Cathedral and the main square, every moment feels immersive in Mexico City’s heart. Plus, the metro station is only a 5-minute walk—perfect for getting around the city without hassle. It's not just a hotel; it's a unique cultural stay that delivers exceptional value and convenience.

Antiguo Molino de San Jerónimo Hotel Boutique

Even though our stay was brief, we had an unforgettable experience at Antiguo Molino de San Jerónimo Hotel Boutique. From the moment we booked to check-in, every interaction was seamless and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Each room is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail—luxury touches like a Nespresso machine, plush bathrobes, fresh fruit, flowers, and complimentary beverages set the tone for a truly special stay. The beds were heavenly—high-quality mattresses and pillows paired with soft, elegant linens made for deep, restful sleep. With reliable high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and convenient room service for breakfast (even spa treatments delivered to your door), comfort and convenience were never far away. Every aspect of this boutique hotel felt curated with care. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return visit. Truly exceptional.

Nhc MEX Centro Historico

This hotel is an absolute steal for the experience it delivers. If you're looking to soak in some old-world charm with a touch of historical depth, this place nails it—without sacrificing modern comfort. The interior design strikes a perfect balance between classic aesthetics and contemporary functionality, making every corner feel thoughtfully curated. One thing to note: like many local hotels in Mexico, toothpaste and toothbrushes aren’t provided, but that’s a small trade-off given how much else this property offers. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the main cathedral, making it ideal if you’re planning to join the Day of the Dead festivities. Plus, there are cozy little breakfast spots nearby that give off such a relaxed, authentic vibe. The photos in the gallery (images 2 and 3) were taken right from the hotel windows—capturing the real heartbeat of the neighborhood. Truly a gem in the heart of historic Mexico City.
