I stayed at Yitel Hotel (Guangzhou Pazhou Exhibition Center Canton Tower) to catch Wang Su-Ling's New Year concert, and I couldn’t be happier with the location. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the metro station, making it super convenient to get to the airport, Pazhou Convention Centre, and Canton Tower—all accessible via direct subway lines. The room faces the street, but surprisingly, noise isn’t an issue; even at night, the hallway is quiet and peaceful. While the hotel has been around for a while, everything feels well-maintained—cleanliness, amenities, and overall upkeep are solid. As part of a trusted chain, it gives me peace of mind. Great value for money, and definitely worth recommending if you're visiting Guangzhou for events or business.

Airport transfers take around 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic, which is average. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel if you’re mainly here for shopping or want a quiet base near the mall. It’s not perfect for tourists wanting to be in the heart of the action, but for what it offers, it delivers solid value.

The expansive sight instantly lifted our spirits. We’d specifically booked W Guangzhou for this trip because it coincided with the Guangzhou Marathon, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable—right next to Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Library, and Huacheng Square, with both the marathon start/finish line and packet pickup just a short walk away. The hotel’s design is bold and futuristic, with a vibrant, energetic atmosphere in the lobby that’s perfect for those who love modern urban style. Rooms are sleek, well-equipped, and feature top-quality bedding—super comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Dinner at the buffet was impressive: wide variety, fresh ingredients, and consistently high quality. But what truly stood out was the service—especially Clinton at reception. He greeted us with a warm smile, handled check-in smoothly, upgraded our room without hesitation, packed breakfast for us to take to the marathon, and even extended our checkout time when we returned late after the race. That kind of thoughtful hospitality made all the difference. This stay was unforgettable—not just for the luxury or location, but for the genuine care shown by the team.
