Solitude Castle was originally built in the late 18th century as a summer residence for the Dukes of Baden-Württemberg, commissioned by Duke Wilhelm IX as a retreat for relaxation and cultural gatherings. The structure blends Neoclassical and Romantic architectural styles, once hosting concerts and literary salons.

Holiday Inn Stuttgart

Staying at Holiday Inn Stuttgart was an absolute delight! The location is fantastic—right next to the S-Bahn station, making public transit super convenient whether you're arriving or departing. We drove, and parking was easy with plenty of spots available; we left early the next morning and didn’t have to pay for parking, which was a nice surprise. Check-in was smooth and welcoming—we even received small Christmas gifts for our kids, which made the experience extra special. There was no pet fee despite what was mentioned online, so that’s a big plus. Breakfast was satisfying—while mostly Western-style options, they included steamed dumplings and a generous variety of fresh fruits. The convenience of having an Aldi supermarket and a bakery right outside the front door can’t be overstated—it’s perfect for grabbing snacks or a quick breakfast on the go. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and great value—all in all, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay here again!
