The breakfast was a highlight: fresh pastries baked daily, a variety of sweet treats, seasonal fruit, milk (including plant-based options upon request), cereals, savory items, and more—all laid out with care. The B&B itself is cozy, clean, and well-appointed, with spacious, comfortable rooms, excellent soundproofing, and super comfy beds and pillows. The heating system works perfectly, making it cozy even on cooler evenings. Location-wise, it’s ideal—just a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, and within easy reach of the city center. What truly made our stay unforgettable? On my birthday, Gianluca surprised us with a beautifully presented tiramisu complete with a little candle—such a thoughtful gesture that brought tears to my eyes. It turned an already amazing trip into something truly special. We were genuinely sad leaving the room, and I can already feel myself planning our return visit. I stayed at 2B Holiday Home in Florence and while the location was convenient—just a short walk to the city center—the property itself was disappointing. The bathroom door was broken and didn’t close properly, and there was no soap holder—so everything just sat on the counter after use. The pillows were stiff and old, making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Also, there was no proper mirror in the bathroom, which was frustrating. Overall, the condition of the unit didn’t match the price, and it felt like minimal effort had been put into upkeep. For the cost, I’d recommend looking elsewhere first.
