Suzhou Citadines Xinghai Apartment Hotel

This stay completely exceeded my expectations—had to share the love! Huge thanks to Abbott at reception and Linda, who made check-in a breeze. We were upgraded to a higher floor for free with zero wait time, and once we opened the window, the view of the Oriental Gate was absolutely stunning—perfect skyline framing, peaceful and picturesque. Pure joy! The room itself was immaculate, spotless from top to bottom, with thoughtful touches everywhere. It felt like home but elevated—super comfortable and well-maintained. And the breakfast? Amazing variety and quality. I looked forward to every morning meal, especially the local favorites that tasted just right. This is hands-down one of the best stays I’ve had in China. Already recommended it to friends and family. If I’m back in Suzhou, this will be my go-to choice. 10/10 would book again!

We stayed at Pan Pacific Suzhou with our parents for a short getaway, and the family room brought back such a nostalgic feeling—almost like reliving my childhood. Cleanliness was top-notch: housekeeping came promptly each day, fresh towels were provided daily, and complimentary water was always replenished in time. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. My personal concierge, Xiao Zhao, went above and beyond—he upgraded my room at no extra cost. Even on chilly days, he remembered to ask about my tea preference and even added extra tea bags when he knew what I liked. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the stay feel special. The front desk staff also showed great care by helping carry luggage both upon arrival and departure, which meant so much during a short visit. These small but meaningful gestures left a lasting impression. This wasn’t just a place to stay—it felt like being welcomed into a home. Just 30 meters from Pingjiang Road pedestrian street, everything you need—restaurants, shops, local snacks—is right at your doorstep. If you'd rather stay in, there’s a quiet tea lounge where you can sip tea and read books, plus dining options available through group deals—perfect for those lazy days. The front desk staff were friendly, patient, and always ready to help. And don’t miss the vintage rosewood trunks—they’re a standout feature with real character. A place I’d definitely return to, without hesitation.

Jinling Aster Hotel Suzhou

Staying at Jinling Aster Hotel Suzhou was a delightful experience. The hotel is literally across from the metro station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city—just a short walk to get on the train. Free parking is a big plus for travelers driving in. Breakfast and lunch were both excellent, especially since the famous Cai Xiang Market is right behind the hotel, offering fresh and delicious local food. I couldn’t resist trying the Xucheng Mooncakes nearby—they’re absolutely worth it! There’s also a great local noodle shop, Huajiao Restaurant, just steps away, serving hearty, authentic dishes. The hotel itself has a rich history—it’s said to be Suzhou’s first five-star hotel, and its rooftop restaurant used to be a well-known landmark. Despite its heritage, the pricing feels very reasonable and fair. The room was clean, comfortable, and the overall vibe made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for a centrally located, affordable, and authentic stay in Suzhou, this place is an absolute gem.

Suyuan Hotel

Stayed at Suyuan Hotel during my visit to Suzhou, and I was genuinely impressed. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—when they noticed we had a young child, they proactively offered us a larger twin room with plenty of space, which made our family stay much more comfortable. The room facilities were standard but well-maintained; the bathtub was a big hit with my little one, who spent ages splashing around. The air conditioning worked perfectly—the temperature was just right for autumn, so we didn’t need to crank it up too high. One of the highlights was the large koi pond in the courtyard, where we could buy fish food and feed the colorful fish. My child loved it and couldn’t stop smiling while watching them swim. The entire place was clean and well-kept with no lingering odors or hygiene issues. Overall, this is a great value-for-money option, especially for families. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

Garden Hotel SUZHOU

Although the hotel was undergoing renovations to the temple and Building 8, and it was winter, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the beautiful garden scenery of Nanyuan. Still, the overall experience was outstanding. The staff were exceptional—helping with luggage, offering electric shuttle service between buildings, and ensuring comfort throughout. Even in the evening, the fitness center and swimming pool were warm and inviting, so no worries about getting cold. Breakfast was one of the better ones in this chain: the noodle stall stood out with unique items like sesame brown sugar smoothies and a special vegetarian pan-fried dumpling. Staff were attentive—the moment my mom sat down, someone asked if she wanted soy milk, and three cups arrived right away. The duplex room was spacious, especially the second-floor bedroom, which felt very comfortable. A few facilities could use upgrading—like the showerhead pressure and the small, outdated changing rooms at the pool area. That said, the evening ambiance in the lobby was truly magical: soft melodies from pipa and guqin performances created a peaceful, almost tea-house-like atmosphere. Sitting back with a cup of tea and chatting quietly was incredibly relaxing. Huge thanks to Xiao Yueyue at reception, and all the front desk and concierge team—your warmth and professionalism made a lasting impression.

We stayed at Hovle Mansion Club & Hotel in Suzhou during the New Year’s holiday with our family, and it was an absolutely perfect choice.
