RQ Santiago

Staying at RQ Santiago was an absolute delight! Despite the compact size, the room is thoughtfully designed—small but incredibly cozy and stylish. I booked the superior room, which came with a microwave and basic cookware—perfect for preparing a quick meal or warming up leftovers, especially handy when you're on a budget. The location is fantastic: just a short metro ride to downtown Santiago, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and local markets nearby. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout my stay. It’s a great blend of comfort, convenience, and value—ideal for solo travelers or those looking to explore the city without breaking the bank. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Santiago.

Happy House Hostel

I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! Even though the place was undergoing renovations, I didn’t mind at all—actually, it felt special being part of the transformation. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the metro and surrounded by great restaurants and local vibes. Despite the construction noise, everything was well-managed, and the atmosphere remained warm and friendly. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality and value in a budget-friendly place. I left with a smile and already planning my return trip. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at, and I can’t wait to come back.

Hotel Angamos

The Hotel Angamos delivered an excellent stay overall, with only one minor downside: the breakfast coffee was quite basic and served at 8 a.m. — though I was already aware of this before booking, so it wasn’t a surprise. In Chile, simple breakfasts are standard, so claims you sometimes see online that ‘Chileans consider breakfast the most important meal’ aren’t really accurate. Most companies pick up guests between 5:30 and 7 a.m., which means you’ll likely miss out on a proper morning meal if you’re not prepared. This is actually a common complaint among Brazilian travelers across nearly all Chilean hotel chains. A small improvement would go a long way — adding a fresh juice, a slice of cake, or a piece of fruit to breakfast, plus offering a basic bathroom kit (shampoo, soap) could definitely set this hotel apart from competitors. That said, the location is convenient, the staff friendly, and the value for money is strong. Definitely worth staying if you're visiting Santiago.

Hotel Plaza San Francisco

Located in the heart of Santiago, Chile, Hotel Plaza San Francisco offers a great central location with easy access to shopping streets and a wide variety of restaurants. The hotel has a vintage charm with well-maintained facilities—everything is clean and in good condition. The breakfast spread is generous and fresh, with high hygiene standards. One small downside: there’s no kettle in the room, which makes preparing tea or coffee a bit inconvenient. Still, the overall experience is excellent, especially considering the convenient location and the clean, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for travelers who value comfort, cleanliness, and being close to city life.

Hotel Fundador

Located just steps away from Metro Line 1, Hotel Fundador is perfect for travelers who love exploring on their own. The proximity to public transit makes getting around Santiago super convenient—ideal for seasoned travelers wanting to navigate the city like a local. The only minor downside is that station announcements are in Spanish only, and there aren’t any visual displays to help identify stops. Still, with a bit of planning and a map app, it’s easy to manage. The front desk staff speaks English and is genuinely helpful, making check-in and any inquiries smooth and stress-free. Clean rooms, great location, and excellent service—all at a fantastic value. Definitely a top pick if you’re looking for an authentic, hassle-free stay in Santiago.

I loved how easy it was to walk to different parts of the city—shops, restaurants, and attractions were all within a short stroll. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and welcoming service. From check-in to checkout, everything felt personal and thoughtful. This place offers great value for money and is ideal for travelers who want convenience without the noise of downtown chaos. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Santiago!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The check-in process was smooth and quick—Andrés was waiting for us at the entrance, welcoming and patient, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly. The location is unbeatable—right next to restaurants, grocery stores, and a pharmacy, all within walking distance. You can easily enjoy meals or grab essentials without needing to travel far. Staying at Hotel Vegas in Santiago was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located right in the city center, yet it's tucked away in a surprisingly quiet neighborhood—perfect for unwinding after a busy day of exploring. It’s simple but incredibly comfortable and cozy, with clean, well-maintained rooms that felt welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Even on a chilly morning, the heating worked perfectly, keeping the room warm and pleasant. Hostal Vitalia

I stayed in a private room, which was decent and comfortable overall. One thing to note is the lighting—since the window faces a pizzeria and there’s no blackout curtain, it might be disruptive for light-sensitive sleepers. I was initially worried about noise, especially since free earplugs are available at reception, but surprisingly, I wasn’t bothered at all—probably due to exhaustion. The bathroom raised some concerns: I nearly slipped twice because the so-called “bathtub” has no handrails or support at all. Also, the shower water suddenly turned cold more than once during my stay, which startled me and made me lose balance. That said, the street the hostel is on is fantastic—full of great restaurants and a lively vibe. Breakfast is included, though I didn’t have it. The shared kitchen is a nice touch for travelers who want to cook their own meals. Other rooms and bathrooms are basic but clean and well-maintained. It’s definitely not luxury, but for the price, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly base in Santiago.

Hotel Elisa Cole

The room was spacious and comfortable, though it didn’t have a mini-fridge—something to keep in mind. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with any request. There was free drinking water available in the breakfast area, which was a nice touch. As for location, the walk to the hotel felt a bit off at night—stick to well-lit paths and stay aware. It’s about a 30-minute stroll to the main attractions, but honestly, the journey itself is part of the experience. Along the way, you’ll find hidden cafés, local art spots, and quiet streets full of charm. You won’t feel like you’re just walking—more like exploring. Overall, this place offers great value, good vibes, and a relaxed stay. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in Santiago.
