Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Cirque du Soleil

Raffles Montreal is a top choice for guests attending Cirque du Soleil: KURIOS, located just a 5-minute walk from the venue. The hotel blends French elegance with modern sophistication, offering rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase panoramic views of downtown Montreal. Its rooftop lounge, The Sky Bar, provides exclusive pre-show cocktail packages and dedicated concierge services for ticket bookings and transportation.

Another excellent option is Four Seasons Hotel Montreal, situated along the scenic Saint Lawrence River and near major cultural attractions. The hotel features a private art gallery showcasing installations inspired by KURIOS’s whimsical themes, creating a thematic bridge to the performance. Both properties offer complimentary shuttle services to the theatre, ensuring seamless access for visitors seeking an immersive experience.

After the show, explore Old Montreal, where 17th-century French colonial architecture meets contemporary street art. Stroll along the Saint Lawrence River Promenade to enjoy illuminated cityscapes and the Gothic spires of the Montreal Cathedral.

Don’t miss sipping a French vanilla ice cream at an outdoor café in Place Bonaparte, or joining a local-guided optical illusion workshop that teaches how to recreate the visual tricks seen in KURIOS. Some performances also include pop-up themed events, such as "Time Traveler’s Night," where guests dress in vintage costumes and participate in interactive games, fully immersing themselves in the show’s fantastical universe.

From Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), the most convenient option is the Airbus Shuttle, which runs directly to Montreal Central Station in about 20 minutes, every 30 minutes. From there, transfer to Tram Line 5, getting off at Place des Arts Station, a 5-minute walk from the venue.

Alternatively, take an Uber or Lyft, which takes 15–20 minutes and costs $40–$60 CAD—ideal for groups or travelers with luggage. For public transit, STM Bus 190 also serves the area, though schedules may vary on performance days. All options accept QR code e-tickets, and guests can use dedicated pre-booked shuttle lanes at the venue entrance to minimize wait times.

Near the KURIOS venue, Parc des Fausses-Tailles offers a perfect spot for families, featuring a children’s interactive fountain, lush lawns, and scenic walking paths. Weekends host family-friendly craft markets with hands-on activities, magic shows, and mini-theatre performances that echo the show’s whimsical theme.

Closeby, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts – Kids Zone presents immersive exhibitions like "The Time Maze" and "Dream Mirror Room," blending technology and art to spark children’s imagination. The surrounding food plaza also includes child-friendly seating areas with healthy meal options and kid-sized cutlery, making it ideal for pre- or post-performance relaxation.

Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Midtown

Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Midtown was an absolute pleasure. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly clean—right from the moment we walked in. One of the highlights? The central air conditioning system, which works just like what I’m used to back home: quiet, efficient, and reliable. It made a huge difference in comfort, especially during warmer days. Location-wise, it’s perfect—right across the street from a major shopping center, so grabbing groceries, snacks, or even just a quick bite was super convenient without having to go far. That said, this hotel is seriously popular—last-minute bookings often end up empty, so booking ahead is a must. If you’re planning a trip to Montreal, don’t hesitate to reserve early. This place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and value.

Parc Suites Hotel

Staying at Parc Suites Hotel was a truly relaxing experience. The spacious rooms made it perfect for families, giving everyone plenty of room to unwind and enjoy their time. Located just a short metro ride from downtown Montreal, we were able to easily explore the city’s top attractions, restaurants, and shops. The hotel itself has a peaceful atmosphere—surprisingly quiet even though it's in a vibrant area. The beds were comfortable, and the layout was thoughtfully designed with family comfort in mind. We especially appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. It’s rare to find such a great balance between convenience, comfort, and value. I’d definitely return and recommend this hotel to any family planning a trip to Montreal.

The Loft Hotel - Quartier Latin

The Loft Hotel delivered exactly what we were looking for—an authentic old-world charm in the heart of Montreal’s Latin Quarter. Staying in room 613, which was over 1,300 square feet, felt more like living in a stylish apartment than a hotel. The spacious loft-style room came with a full kitchen, a king and a queen bed, and plenty of room to stretch out—way more space than we expected. Located just steps from Vieux-Port, Rue des Fortifications, Notre-Dame Basilica, and family-friendly spots like Grande Rue, everything was walkable. The building’s historic stone structure and cobblestone streets added character, even if some minor updates to lighting, electrical outlets, and drywall would’ve been nice. Honestly, though, those small imperfections only enhanced the unique, eclectic vibe. We loved the authenticity, comfort, and location. Thanks, The Loft Hotel—we’ll be back!

Auberge du Plateau

This hostel completely exceeded my expectations! Right next to the metro station, it's super convenient for getting around Montreal—just a few minutes to downtown. The dorm rooms are clean, well-organized, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I loved having my own lockable storage cabinet, which made me feel safe and secure. The shared kitchen is fully equipped, so cooking your own meals is easy and budget-friendly. The staff are incredibly friendly and always happy to share local tips and recommend cool spots to check out—felt like hanging out with friends rather than just staying at a hostel. The vibe is peaceful yet social, perfect for meeting fellow travelers. If you're looking for an affordable, well-located base in Montreal, this is a must-stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Residence La Citadelle

I stayed at Residence La Citadelle in Montreal for a weekend, and overall it was a decent experience. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the quiet environment made it easy to relax after a long day. I really appreciated having breakfast and coffee available in the morning—simple but a nice touch. There was a water issue during my stay, but the front desk quickly provided bottled water, which showed good customer service. The laundry facilities were clean and easy to use, perfect for longer stays. Considering the price during peak summer season, the value was fair, and the location was convenient with easy access to public transit. That said, the rooms definitely need an update—they feel dated and could use some modernization. Security is a concern: there’s no key card system for the elevator, and no on-site security guard despite many young women staying there. Also, there are no safes in the rooms, so anyone could walk into the building and go straight to any floor without checks. It’s a bit worrying from a safety standpoint. Fortunately, the front desk staff are present and helpful, but more robust security measures would make this place much more reassuring.

Breakfast at the on-site restaurant was fantastic—fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable: just a short walk to the museum and close to several restaurants and green spaces.
