Villas Foch Boutique Hotel & Spa Bordeaux

Our stay at Villas Foch Boutique Hotel & Spa in Bordeaux was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The room was immaculate, consistently cleaned with thoughtful touches like chocolates and local treats left behind—such a nice surprise! Located in a quiet yet central neighborhood, it's just steps from the tram stop and within walking distance of most of Bordeaux’s main attractions. We loved exploring the city with easy access to everything. The ambiance is elegant without being pretentious, and the spa area is a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bordeaux—it truly offers an unforgettable experience.

Yndo Hôtel

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and even upgraded to a better room at no extra cost—this small gesture made our stay even more special. The hotel is beautifully designed, with every corner reflecting thoughtful attention to detail. The atmosphere is elegant yet calming, making it the perfect retreat after a long day. Our room was incredibly comfortable, offering pure relaxation from the moment we stepped in. The staff went above and beyond—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. They gave us some great dinner suggestions, and every one lived up to expectations. And the breakfast? Absolutely outstanding: varied, delicious, and beautifully presented—a true pleasure to start the day right. This was an exceptional experience, and we’d recommend it without hesitation.

Casa Blanca B&B

Staying at Casa Blanca B&B in Bordeaux was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot—everything is within walking distance, from charming streets to great restaurants and wine bars. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a modern, well-appointed bathroom that made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. Breakfast was outstanding—fresh pastries, local cheeses, and delicious coffee that started our days right. Our only minor concern was the stairs to reach the rooms, especially with heavy luggage, but it’s a small trade-off given how much we loved everything else. Overall, this B&B offers exceptional value and charm—it’s definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Bordeaux.

La Maison Cachee

Our stay at La Maison Cachee in Bordeaux was a mixed experience. The room was spacious and the garden was beautifully designed—very peaceful and charming. However, cleanliness was only acceptable, not up to standard. I had initially contacted the host before booking because the platform clearly stated towels weren’t provided. Since we were traveling extensively, bringing our own would’ve been inconvenient, so I asked if I could purchase them. To my surprise, they kindly said they’d provide them free of charge. Upon arrival, I found two bath towels in the bathroom—but that was it. No hand soap (especially surprising post-pandemic), no coffee pods, and no other essentials. The kitchen is well-equipped, but the lack of basic coffee supplies was frustrating, especially with no cafés nearby. I followed up again (offering to pay) for additional towels, and was told they’d be delivered by 11 PM. The next morning, they were still missing—likely taken by other guests who needed them just as much. Honestly, who could blame them? In the room, we did find a clothes rack and several plain white plastic bags… with a broken ballpoint pen. That’s a bit odd. We ended up leaving one night early. If I wanted a barebones stay, I’d expect it to come with clear expectations—not hidden gaps in service. I shared my disappointment with the host, who responded dismissively, saying she couldn’t understand how I’d managed to survive travel so far without such basics. It felt like she didn’t realize the world has changed. Today’s travelers expect at least the fundamentals: clean towels, hygiene products, and simple comforts. Let’s move past the 80s mindset. This place has potential, but it needs better attention to guest needs and updated standards.

Hotel des Quinconces

This stay at Hotel des Quinconces was absolutely magical. We’ve visited countless luxury destinations and stayed in many top-tier properties, but this boutique gem truly stood out. The history of the building—once the U.S. Consulate during WWII—added a layer of intrigue that made the experience unforgettable. Every detail in the rooms exuded elegance and charm, from the fine furnishings to the thoughtful touches. The staff went above and beyond with warm, genuine hospitality. But what really elevated the trip was meeting the owner, Raphael. Sharing a glass of exceptional wine with him felt like chatting with an old friend. When we expressed interest in dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, he effortlessly arranged access to Mason Nuvelle—a decision we’ll remember forever. That meal surpassed even the legendary French Laundry in Napa Valley. Truly one of the most memorable culinary experiences of our lives. Thank you, Raphael, for making our Bordeaux journey extraordinary.

Hôtel de Sèze & Spa Bordeaux Centre

Staying at Hôtel de Sèze & Spa Bordeaux Centre was an absolute delight! We booked a deluxe room with breakfast, and from the moment we arrived, the charm of this 17th- to 18th-century European building was undeniable. The top floor, once home to maids, gives a real sense of history and character—so unique and atmospheric. Located right in the heart of Bordeaux, everything is within walking distance: major attractions like Saint-André Cathedral, the Place de la Comédie, and the shopping streets are all just a 10- to 15-minute stroll away—perfect for exploring on foot. The cleanliness was outstanding, every corner spotless, and the quiet, respectful guests made for a peaceful stay. The staff were warm and professional, adding to the overall comfort. This isn’t just a hotel—it feels like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of French heritage. Highly recommend for travelers who value location, authenticity, and a serene atmosphere.

Everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a clean, modern vibe throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated how quiet the area was while still being close to all the main attractions. Even though it’s not right in the heart of Bordeaux, the location is perfect for those who want a calm retreat after a day exploring. FirstName Bordeaux

The hotel is fantastic — the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, and the overall experience was excellent. The only minor downside was when we arrived and were asked to leave a €100 deposit per night. We hadn’t been informed about this in advance, especially since our booking had already been paid weeks earlier. We politely declined, pointing out that we’d never encountered such a requirement at any other hotel before. They confirmed it was optional, so we didn’t leave the deposit — but the surprise definitely caught us off guard. Despite that hiccup, the stay was still outstanding. Great value, warm hospitality, and a wonderful base for exploring Bordeaux. I’d definitely stay here again.
