Breakfast was fantastic—fresh fruit, local pastries, coffee, and a great variety to start the day right. I’d definitely recommend booking with breakfast included; trying to add it later meant paying full price with no discount. One thing to note: parking fees were higher than what was listed online—maybe due to seasonal pricing near year-end, so plan accordingly. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, great service, and a convenient central spot. If I ever return to Rio, this will be my first choice again.

Right now, only one room has such features, but expanding this across all rooms would make the hotel even more inclusive. Overall, this place exceeds expectations—perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I’d definitely return.

Tupiniquim Hostel Rio de Janeiro
The hostel is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to get around Rio. However, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We had to ask permission every time we wanted to store or retrieve items from the shared fridge—repeated requests made it incredibly inconvenient. In the morning, we needed our breakfast supplies right away, but were forced to wait two hours because the owner refused to let us access our things until the cleaner arrived, even though it was just one floor up. When I went to get my stuff, the owner became angry, yelled at me, and used a disrespectful term I won’t repeat. At that point, we left immediately. While the location is good and prices are reasonable, the lack of basic respect and poor communication completely ruined our stay. Not worth it.

It made our arrival so much more relaxed and enjoyable. From start to finish, this was an outstanding experience. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Rio!
