Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest

My stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest was absolutely exceptional, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel’s elegant ambiance, prime location just steps from the city center, and outstanding service made every moment memorable. While my room assignment wasn’t ideal due to the booking channel, the hotel’s overall quality more than made up for it—luxurious rooms, thoughtful amenities, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction, making me feel genuinely valued. Despite the booking experience, I’m already planning my return visit. This is one of those rare stays where the property itself shines, regardless of how you book it.

Loft Astoria

Booked last minute and couldn’t be happier with our choice of Loft Astoria. The location was unbeatable—right next to major bus and metro lines, making it super easy to explore the city. The view from the floor-to-ceiling windows was stunning, especially at night when we’d just sit and watch the vibrant city life unfold, sometimes staying up way past bedtime. There was a minor issue with self-check-in, but a quick call resolved it instantly—great support. The apartment was warm, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained throughout our stay. As someone who travels with my wife, I’ll admit I was a bit concerned about safety during late-night arrivals and departures, especially in unfamiliar areas. But the keypad entry system and secure internal doors gave us peace of mind. We felt safe not just in the unit, but also throughout our time in Budapest. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the energy of the city while returning to a modern, clean, and secure home base, this is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit—thank you for making our trip so memorable.

Central Capital Apartments

Staying at Central Capital Apartments was a mixed experience. The room lacked air conditioning, which made it quite uncomfortable during warmer evenings—especially since the building doesn’t have much ventilation. Check-in was frustrating; getting the key took longer than expected, and staff seemed unresponsive or unfriendly. Also, the property doesn’t have a standalone entrance—access is through a shared hallway, so if you’re expecting a clear, hotel-like front door, be prepared for something more like a residential apartment building. It’s located close to downtown Budapest, so public transport access is decent, but overall, the value-for-money just doesn’t stack up. Unless you're on a tight budget and have no other options, I wouldn’t recommend this place again.

Ekszerdoboz A Budai Var Alatt

Staying at this apartment was an absolute highlight of our trip to Budapest! The living space is spacious and beautifully designed, with a fully equipped kitchen that made cooking meals a breeze. The bathroom is generously sized—very comfortable and well-maintained. The best part? The private terrace with stunning views—perfect for morning coffee or just relaxing while taking in the city vibes. It’s only a 10-minute walk to iconic spots like Fisherman’s Bastion and Chain Bridge, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Public transport is also super accessible nearby. This was hands down the most satisfying accommodation we’ve had on our European journey—excellent value, great location, and top-notch comfort. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest!

Walk Inn Váci 42

Staying at Walk Inn Váci 42 was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff truly stood out—they were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made me feel welcome as a traveler. The location couldn’t be better: just steps away from major sights and super easy to get around by public transport. A quick heads-up—avoid the restaurants right on the ground floor; they’re tourist traps with overpriced menus and average food. No worries though—there are tons of great dining options just a few blocks away, and we ended up loving one local spot near the market. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, making our stay extra enjoyable—my kids especially loved the fun, modern touches. It’s worth noting that the property is housed in an older building, which gives it character and charm, but also means some quirks like a noisy elevator and occasional flickering hallway lights. That said, these little imperfections didn’t take away from the experience at all. Overall, this place offers fantastic value, warm hospitality, and a true Budapest vibe—highly recommend!

Budapest Rooms Bed and Breakfast

The location of Budapest Rooms Bed and Breakfast is definitely a strong point—just an 8- to 10-minute walk from two metro stops, and right next to the Bus 100E stop at Kalvin tér, which runs directly to and from the airport. There’s also a small but convenient supermarket just 30 meters away for quick essentials. The room size and bathroom are average—could use a bit more space, and a proper bidet would be a nice upgrade. The kitchenette is very handy for brewing afternoon tea or a relaxing evening herbal drink. The beds were comfortable, and I really appreciated being able to leave my luggage on-site after check-out, especially since my return flight wasn’t until 8 PM—no need to carry bags around all day. When I arrived late due to a night flight from Rome, the hotel kindly arranged a secure lockbox outside the entrance where I received my keys. Instructions were sent in advance via email, making the process smooth and stress-free. However, breakfast was disappointing. The sweet selection consisted of only two types of jam—no pastries, cakes, or biscuits at all. If you’re expecting a proper breakfast spread with desserts, you’ll be let down. The savory side had ham, one type of cheese, boxed bread, and slightly stale, chewy sandwiches (which felt like leftovers). Hygiene concerns stood out too: milk and orange juice were served in large open jugs without lids, and on the second morning, I found a noticeable hair floating in the milk—definitely not ideal. Only eight seats are available for breakfast, so if multiple guests show up at once, you may have to wait or eat while anxious about clearing the table. The kettle also needs descaling—there’s visible lime buildup inside. Room organization was another issue. We hung our towels on wall hooks and the bathroom radiator to avoid confusion, but after housekeeping cleaned the room, they were moved around, making it impossible to tell whose towel was whose. The duvets are extremely minimal—anyone over 1.8 meters tall will likely end up with their feet exposed when tucking in. Cleaning standards left much to be desired. I placed my suitcase on the top shelf of the sliding wardrobe and was greeted by a thick layer of dust when retrieving it—clearly untouched for weeks. Same goes for the pile blanket stored on that shelf; I’m glad I didn’t use it, or I’d have risked a serious allergic reaction. Lastly, payment required full prepayment, but no receipt was ever issued—something that feels unprofessional and lacks transparency.

Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The bathroom and shower are separated, and there's even a bathtub—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The shower has a powerful button-operated system, and the hairdryer is a high-quality German brand, which made a big difference. The room itself is spacious and incredibly comfortable, with a bed and pillows that made for an excellent night's sleep. Even during the scorching summer heat, the staff kindly brought ice to my room and provided two free chilled bottled waters—such a thoughtful touch. The front desk concierge spoke flawless English, clearly and patiently, making communication easy even with my limited vocabulary. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to the airport bus stop, with subway and bus stops all nearby, so getting around Budapest is super convenient. Plus, it’s much quieter than other hotels with fewer Japanese or Asian guests, giving a more serene atmosphere. This place truly stands out—it’s not just luxury, it’s thoughtfulness at its best. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Al Habtoor Palace Budapest

Arrived in Budapest at 8 PM and reached the hotel by 9:30 AM—planning to just store our luggage, but the front desk was incredibly helpful. They rushed housekeeping to clean the room, and we were checked in within just five minutes! That kind of hospitality really sets the tone for the stay. The toiletries are from Diptyque—same quality as those found in Mandarin Oriental, which is a real treat. Breakfast was excellent for a Central European hotel—plenty of fresh options, great pastries, and local flavors that stood out. The spa area is fantastic: relaxing baths and soothing treatments made it easy to unwind after a long journey. The fitness center is basic, which is the only minor downside, but overall, the experience was exceptional. This place delivers on luxury, comfort, and service. A must-stay if you're visiting Budapest.

Aria Hotel Budapest by Library Hotel Collection

This has easily been the best hotel I've stayed at during my three-week European trip. Budapest Marriott Hotel

Staying at the Budapest Marriott Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the city center and right along the Danube River. My river-view room was breathtaking, especially in the morning when sunlight streamed through the windows, offering a stunning view of the water and surrounding landmarks. It truly set a positive tone for the day. In the evenings, I loved relaxing by the window with a drink, watching the city lights sparkle across the river—it felt so peaceful and romantic. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout my stay, making check-in and check-out seamless. Parking was convenient and well-organized. With its perfect blend of comfort, style, and prime location, this hotel offers excellent value. I’d definitely choose it again on my next visit to Budapest—highly recommend!

Corinthia Budapest

I’ve been wanting to stay at the Corinthia Budapest for years, mainly because of its legendary reputation. The hotel lives up to its fame with stunning architecture and elegant interiors that truly capture the grandeur of a historic European landmark. The lobby and room design are both sophisticated and well thought out—everything feels timeless and luxurious. That said, check-in took longer than expected, and I was repeatedly interrupted by knocks on the door during the process, which was a bit frustrating. While the service didn’t stand out as exceptional, it wasn’t poor either. The location is excellent—just a short walk or a quick metro ride from the city center, making it super convenient. Overall, despite minor hiccups, the experience was memorable and worth every penny. Definitely planning to return.
