Staying at Arirang Hill Hotel Dongdaemun was a fantastic experience. Located right outside Exit 4 of Seoul Subway Line 4, the hotel offers unbeatable convenience for getting around the city—everything from shopping districts to local eateries is just a short walk away. The area is vibrant and full of options, whether you're looking for trendy boutiques or authentic Korean food. Inside the hotel, everything is well-maintained: the front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with excellent attention to detail. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work—every time I returned to my room, it felt freshly tidied up. With such a great location, reliable service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I’ll definitely be choosing this hotel again on my next trip to Seoul.

Staying at Friendly DH Naissance Hotel was an absolute delight! Located just steps from the Seongnyeonsuhak Station on University Road, it’s incredibly convenient for getting around Seoul. The neighborhood is vibrant and student-friendly, with countless cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores right outside the door—perfect for grabbing a quick bite or coffee anytime. The hotel itself is spotless, well-maintained, and offers excellent amenities. What really stood out? The bathroom features a built-in massage bathtub—a real luxury after a long day of exploring. It made my stay so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, this place delivers incredible value. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.
Mangrove Sinseol
I stayed at Mangrove Sinseol Hotel for a few days and was really impressed. The location is perfect—right next to the subway station, just a 15-minute ride to Seongsu and about 30 minutes to Hongdae. The airport bus 6002 stops right outside, making travel super convenient. There are plenty of nearby convenience stores like 7-Eleven, CU, OY, Mega, and Mammoth—no long lines even during peak hours. The building has a secure entry with a password lock, and the elevator requires your room keycard, which adds peace of mind. The shared kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and the rooftop terrace offers a great view—perfect for relaxing in the evening. Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, and the machine supports Simplified Chinese, which is a big plus for introverted travelers. The bathroom is on the smaller side, and housekeeping comes every six days, but that’s not an issue if you’re staying just a few days. Overall, it’s a quiet, safe, and well-designed place with excellent value. Highly recommend for solo travelers.

There were plenty of power outlets, so charging my devices was never an issue. The in-room TV was a big plus—streaming YouTube and Netflix made my downtime super enjoyable. The bathroom was clean, modern, and well-kept. Best part? The location is unbeatable. I walked to Gwangjang Market in under 20 minutes, perfect for exploring local food and shopping. If I ever come back to Dongdaemun, this is definitely where I’ll stay again. Highly recommend for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and great value.

What really stood out was the front desk staff who spoke fluent Chinese—when I said "Hello," their surprised yet welcoming reaction made me feel instantly at home. We arrived around 2:00 PM, and since our room was already cleaned, they offered us a free early check-in without hesitation. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with three-prong outlets that worked perfectly with my Chinese plug—no need for a travel adapter at all. There's a fridge, modern bathroom fixtures, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Located in a quiet residential area, the neighborhood is full of authentic local gems. The famous Dongsan Galbi (the same spot as G-Dragon’s favorite) is right downstairs—seriously delicious. And just steps away, there’s a GS25 convenience store for snacks and drinks. Everything you need is within walking distance. From comfort to convenience, this hotel delivers on every level. I’d definitely stay here again—truly one of the best stays I’ve had in Seoul.

This was my second visit to Korea, and I’m still head over heels for this hotel. It’s incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Dongdaemun, making it easy to explore the city by subway or on foot. The room was much larger than expected, offering great space and comfort. One small note: don’t forget to bring your own toothbrush, as it’s not provided. But everything else was top-notch. The fish cake soup downstairs is hands down one of the best I’ve had in Korea—warm, flavorful, and authentic. Right across the street is a dumpling shop run by a Northeast Chinese couple, and their dumplings are absolutely delicious—plump, juicy, and perfectly steamed. I highly recommend both! If I ever return to Seoul, this will be my go-to hotel again. A fantastic stay with excellent value and charm.

The first room had a strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant, so I asked to be moved. The staff were very kind and promptly arranged a new room without any hassle. However, the second room wasn’t much better—the bathroom felt a bit dark and slightly unsettling, and the overall facilities were just average. That said, the price is definitely affordable, making it a solid choice if you're on a budget. It’s perfect for students or travelers looking for a no-frills stay with good value. While not luxurious, it gets the job done, especially considering the cost.

The facilities and location were excellent—very convenient for getting around Seoul. The only minor downside was being asked to check out by 11:00 AM, even though the checkout time listed was 12:00 PM. It felt a bit rushed, especially if you had a late morning plan. Still, the overall experience was fantastic, with great value for money. I’d definitely stay here again.
