After breakfast, walking back into a perfectly tidy room felt like a small daily treat. The breakfast spread was fantastic—huge variety, with both Western and local options covered. The overall experience was excellent, especially the ocean-view room—stunning scenery with a refreshing sea breeze when the window was open. Staying at Grand Hyatt Dalian was an absolute highlight of my trip to Dalian! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the amusement park, and you can hop on the trendy Xinghai Promenade right outside. I loved grabbing dinner at Xi Ding nearby; it’s easy to get a table even during peak hours. The room view is spectacular—direct sightlines to Xinghai Bay with breathtaking sunrises. While the evening light show wasn’t my favorite, seeing it from the comfort of my room made it just as magical. The staff went above and beyond—prompt, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. During the off-season, they upgraded us to a spacious corner room without hesitation and even left a small gift. The fitness center is well-equipped, the pool is clean and inviting, but the real surprise was the sauna and hot tub area—beautifully designed, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. A quick 15-minute cab ride gets you to Jinsha Beach, making it easy to explore more of the city. This hotel offers incredible value, comfort, and charm—definitely a top-tier choice for first-time visitors to Dalian.

Hotel Nikko Dalian

This stay exceeded all my expectations! I have to give a special shoutout to the front desk staff, Sally and Xiao Miao—check-in was quick and seamless, and their friendly service made me feel right at home. They even recommended some fantastic local eateries nearby and gave clear walking directions, which was incredibly helpful. The room might be a bit dated, but it’s super comfortable and well-maintained. Plus, the four brand-new elevators (by Mitsubishi!) run smoothly and give you peace of mind. Location-wise, it’s perfect—just steps from the metro and bus stops, making getting around town a breeze. For the comfort, convenience, and value, this hotel is a standout. I’ll definitely be coming back to Dalian and choosing this one again.

I finally met our amazing concierge Maggie right at checkout, and honestly, her service made the entire stay unforgettable. From day one, she checked in daily—asking if we needed anything replenished, if everything was to our satisfaction. On our last day, she even offered to extend our check-out time without hesitation. What really stood out? When I mentioned the air felt a bit dry, she proactively added a humidifier to the room. Then, just before leaving, she asked again if the humidity level was comfortable—such thoughtful attention to detail. The hotel itself is spotless, with well-maintained facilities and a serene atmosphere. Every corner feels cared for, from the spacious rooms to the elegant common areas. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality that goes beyond expectations. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet personal experience in Dalian, this place delivers. 10/10, highly recommend.
