This place exceeded all my expectations! Located right across from Dongdaemun DDP, it’s just a short walk to APM Place—perfect for shopping, dining, and hopping on the subway. Even though there’s no elevator, the staff was incredibly helpful with carrying luggage upstairs—no stress at all. The room is totally pink-themed and super spacious; two 26-inch suitcases can be fully opened without any hassle. What really stood out was the thoughtful touches: power adapters, USB outlets, and even a water dispenser right outside the room. The host provided contact info in advance and responded instantly to any questions—great communication. There’s a washing machine for laundry and a balcony to dry clothes, plus you can store your luggage before check-in. Everything is well-organized and super convenient. With such a great location, friendly service, and smart amenities, this is definitely a top pick. I’ll absolutely book again next time I’m in Seoul!
Garosugil Homestay - Female Only
This was my first solo trip to Korea, and staying at Garosugil Homestay - Female Only made the experience truly special. Located in the quiet, upscale neighborhood of Gangnam, it's peaceful yet convenient—just a short walk from subway access and with a 7-Eleven and a small grocery store nearby. The room was immaculate, with thoughtful touches like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, and toothpaste provided. I even got a complimentary set of pajamas and a sweet handwritten welcome note with my last name—such a personal touch! The room had all the essentials: air conditioning, mini-fridge, night light, power adapter, and hairdryer. My hostess was incredibly kind—she speaks Korean, Japanese, and some English, and she’s actively learning Mandarin too. She helped me carry my luggage and went out of her way to make me feel at home. The breakfast was beautifully prepared, presented with care, and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to come back again—it’s one of those rare stays that feels more like visiting family than just booking a room.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly—they went out of their way to assist with recommendations and even helped me plan my itinerary. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul, especially those who appreciate convenience, good service, and a great location without breaking the bank.

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

Be aware that there’s no elevator—so if you’re not up for climbing stairs, request a lower-floor room. Noise levels are decent; even though soundproofing isn’t perfect, there’s minimal disturbance at night. One of my favorite moments? Sipping coffee on the 5th floor during a snowfall, listening to music, chatting with friends, and watching the city turn white—it felt like a scene from a movie. The front desk staff speaks excellent English, but service hours are limited to 8 AM–10 PM. For other times, you’ll need to use alternative communication methods. Overall, this place offers great value, friendly vibes, and a unique charm. A solid choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in central Seoul.
