Jianguo HIDDEN Hotel (Dalian Zhongshan Road Youhao Square)
My first stay at a Puyin Hotel was in Qingzhou, Shandong back in 2024, and it left such a positive impression that I knew I’d come back without hesitation when visiting Dalian. And honestly, the experience lived up to every expectation! The location is fantastic—just a 10-minute walk from Zhongshan Square, making it super convenient for exploring the city center or hopping on buses and subways. The room itself isn’t huge, but it’s thoughtfully designed with smart layout and cozy charm. The view from the window is peaceful and scenic, perfect for unwinding after a long day. What truly stood out was the service from Miss Jiang at reception—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She greeted me with a homemade milk tea and even handed me a roasted tangerine, which I’ve never tried before but actually loved its sweet, fragrant taste. There was also a comforting bowl of congee each evening—simple but deeply satisfying. Breakfast was an absolute highlight: three nights in a row, and every morning brought something new and delicious—on the first two days, there was millet sea cucumber porridge with shrimp, then on the third day, abalone rice balls and Arctic shrimp. The variety, freshness, and quality were impressive, all served in a clean, inviting dining area that felt lively but not crowded. The price was very reasonable, the neighborhood quiet and pleasant, and housekeeping was consistently excellent. The only small downside? No dedicated luggage storage space in the room—but since my suitcase was compact, I managed to stash it under the nightstand. Still, this tiny detail doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, well-run hotel with genuine hospitality and great value, this one’s definitely worth a visit.
