Nestled right by the lake, every view from the windows feels like a painting—morning mist drifting across the water, golden sunsets glowing over Leifeng Pagoda. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and gentle trickling streams, creating a serene escape from city life. From check-in to checkout, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Special shoutout to Mr. He at reception—he went above and beyond, personally escorting me to my room while sharing fascinating insights about the property and nearby attractions. When a small issue came up during my stay, he handled it quickly and thoughtfully. Breakfast was a highlight: a well-curated mix of Chinese and Western options, with standout dishes like freshly made lotus root paste and Dingsheng cake—delicate, sweet, and perfect with a cup of Longjing tea to start the day. The on-site restaurant serves exquisite Jiangnan fusion cuisine. The signature fish head dish is a masterpiece—blending classic Hangzhou flavors with modern techniques, where the aroma of fresh fragrant bamboo shoots dances with the savory depth of ham. I also enjoyed afternoon tea at the lounge, set in a beautifully designed space with panoramic views. The rooms are a thoughtful blend of traditional Chinese garden aesthetics and smart technology. The wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and top-quality bedding (rumored to be from the renowned Kingsdown brand) made for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. Complimentary mini-bar, cozy reading nooks, and a tranquil tea lounge add to the peaceful vibe. I indulged in a spa treatment—the therapist was gentle and skilled, leaving me completely relaxed. Just steps away, the fitness center and indoor pool are spotless and well-equipped, ideal for staying active during a trip. What really sets this place apart is its incredible value.
