I was on the 22nd floor, and while some renovation work was ongoing nearby, the front desk had proactively informed me upon check-in, which showed great transparency and care. The room itself was spotlessly clean, with all amenities fully functional and the overall environment well-maintained. Staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the excellent experience. Even with minor noise from construction, it didn’t ruin the stay—just a small trade-off for such a central and well-run location. The value for money is outstanding, and I’d definitely return. The views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive—always smiling, ready to help, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and they even included a complimentary afternoon tea, which was such a nice surprise. The outdoor pool and dedicated family-friendly activity space made it ideal for both relaxation and fun. My kids had a blast, and I felt completely recharged. This hotel truly delivers on every level—comfort, convenience, and service. I’d absolutely stay here again if I ever return to Xiamen!

Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

Xiamen Royal Victoria Hotel

Staying at Xiamen Royal Victoria Hotel was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from Huangcuo Beach, making it incredibly convenient for catching sunrise. The room was spacious with a private balcony and a deep soaking tub, which made the experience even more relaxing. Everything was well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I appreciated how efficient and friendly the front desk staff were—especially Xiao Shen who checked me in quickly and warmly. From start to finish, the service exceeded expectations. After reading numerous reviews, choosing this hotel turned out to be one of my best decisions. It’s not just comfortable—it’s a true getaway spot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality stay in Xiamen.
